Brooke chewed at her lip. "I-.. you want the honest truth? Ask me anything you want to, right now. I'll answer and I won't hold back. Starting with dinner... I couldn't talk to you, I'm still finding it hard to talk to you. Every time I'm even remotely close to you I want to cry."

"And how do you think I feel?" He asked. "You were my best friend, I loved you, I wanted to marry you." He told her. "Now you're the one giving my the silent treatment when I try and be nice to you and at least talk to you like humans."

"And you don't think I'm hurting too? I still love you, Peter... I've always loved you," she shook her head. "I was only doing that because you had told me to leave you alone and you didn't want to talk to me."

"So me talking to you now means rhay I don't want to talk to you?" He asked. "Get real Brooke."

"I didn't know you wanted to talk to me, Peter. You haven't even looked my way until this evening and it completely took me by surprise... sorry for being human. Despite what you all might think I do have feelings too."

"Believe me we all know that I think you forget that it's the rest of us who have feelings."

Brooke raised an eyebrow at him. "And what's that supposed to mean?"

"You always talk about your feelings, how much seeing me makes you want to cry, you seem to either forget or not care for how I feel."

"I said that once because you asked me a question. If you don't want my answers why ask?"

"It's not just when you answered the question." He told her. "It's in general."

"When have I not cared hm? You're all I've ever cared about, how you felt ALWAYS came before my own feelings."

"See that's not the feeling you've been giving off lately."

"Why because I've finally realized that I need to take care of myself like everyone else around here is doing? I'm sorry if I'm for once putting my own feelings before everyone else's."

"That's not the problem, you don't even think to ask about everyone else."

"I live with them, Peter. I talk to them all daily. I ALWAYS inquire how everyone is doing. Heaven forbid I focus on myself for a bit... no matter what I do or what I say I'm ALWAYS wrong. I've done nothing right in your eyes or anyone else's for years now. This is why I've stopped talking."

"And you make it all about you, what you've done, how you feel, not once in this whole conversation have you actually sked the question to me to see how I feel."

"You didn't give me a chance too ask you anything. No one every does, you all complain I don't listen and I whine and I cry and make everything about me but you all ask how I am and when I say how I am I get jumped on for it."

"You know that we cant kill humans. On pack land, you didn't give her a chance to drop the gun." Abi told her.

"I told you why I wasn't speaking to you. You told me you didn't want to talk to me... and you say hi to everyone so how am I supposed to know you're speaking to me?"

"Because it was just us and now we are going round in circles so I'm heading home I'm on the twilight shift."

Brooke let out a very deep sigh. "Look, Peter, I'm sorry. I'm trying... I can't go backwards and erase all the fucked up things I've done. If I could I would go back and change so many things... but I can only move forward. If that's not enough for you right now then I don't know what more to say other than have a good night and be careful, I'll see you in a few days when you come over again." With each passing minute that they spoke things got more and more difficult.
