Magnus hesitated, leaning back to sit up properly then and frown down at her. "Thea...."

"He is elusive, I don't think you'll find him anytime soon." Conan laughed.

“Magnus…?” Thea raised an eyebrow at him, trying not to pout as he pulled away.

“Maybe he’ll be in that really nice soft four poster bed that’s upstairs where it feels like I’m sleeping on clouds…”

"Maybe he will be, you can go check but there isn't a fire up there nor is there wonderful background noise."

“From what I’ve heard it makes everything that comes after a lot better though… call me eager to test the theory, especially with you.”

"Nothing of the sort! I am simply listing the benefits of both places. Where you go is up to you." Conan laughed quietly.

Magnus wrinkled his nose, mumbling quietly; "No, no not this time."

“I’ll just have to stay here in the warm won’t I?”

“Then get back here.” Thea hummed as she grabbed the front of his shirt and dragged him back down to her, pressing her lips back to his.

"It's no skin off of my nose." He laughed quietly, wrapping his arms around her waist comfortably once again. "I quite like cuddling you here on the sofa."

Magnus letting out a nervous breath, closing his eyes as he kissed her back.

“It’s nice acting like we’re normal… by any means.”

“You sure you want this?”

"Are you sure that you do?"

"Our version of normal, at least. I don't think we know what normal is like for the mortal population." Conan hummed.

The next morning Elijah woke up before her and he made her her favourite breakfast and he left it on her bedside table for her. Elijah himself was entertaining his brother in the shop to give her some privacy his brother was almost identical to him except he was more tan and blonde unlike Elijah, he was also dressed in ripped shorts and a ripped vest top.

“Magnus do I have to strip for you to realise that this is what I want? You’re borderline making me feel like I am forcing you!”

Eve quietly wandered down into the shop, looking like she had just rolled out of bed; a large hood engulfing her frame and almost hiding her pajama shorts entirely.

"So do I. It'd be so easy." Conan agreed, "We'd have a dog I think, two cats; a calico and..." He trailed off, wrinkling his nose in thought.

"I'm sorry." Magnus grimaced. "Maybe we shouldn't, hm?"

“A forest cat.” Dagmar smiled. “We had a few on the farm, for pest control! They got huge.”

“Right. Right.” Thea swallowed, the hurt crossing her face for only a brief moment before she wiped it off, moving out from under him and getting off the bed. “My room shall be free now with her gone.”

"The wolves are getting restless, you can protect her better if you were one of us." His brother was telling him. "Diego won't make it a choice soon enough, not with the factions on the brink of war."

"I'm not doing it," Elijah told him. "I was born without a wolf for a reason, I plan to stay like this, Diego can go and whistle."

"Oh, yes. I forgot about those." Conan laughed, flashing a grin afterwards. "A little dog though; one of those toy ones you can put in a cat carrier."

"Can we not have wolf shit mentioned." Eve mumbled, grabbing herself a drink from the store fridge. "I can't deal."

"Unfortunately little princess, it's his life, he was born into the pack he lives the pack." His brother told her. "And it's his premise, we talk about whatever we want."

"Just stop talking." He told his brother. "Don't you have places to be?"

"Fortunately yes, I'm going to see Diego." His brother told him. "I'll be back for lunch."

“We used terriers for ratting too, and the smaller dogs fit into rabbit warrens easier to drag them out. You’re setting us up for farm life here Conan.”

“Why? You’ve made it clear you don’t want me Magnus.” Thea asked, still stood facing the door. “I don’t need a pity cuddle for the night.”

"You don't have to leave." Elijah told her. "I'm sorry about my brother, when you spend so long as a wolf you tend to forget to be human and your manners," He told her. "I'll talk to him when he gets back, we won't mention anything else."

"Farm life it will be, darling. As long as you do all the dirty job then it will be manageable." He laughed. "I would want to break a nail after all."
