She got herself dressed rather quickly as well so she could help him find something for Deanna to wear, coming across a stripped shirt that looked like it would be a bit big on him but it should work for a few hours.

Peter got him dressed pretty quickly and he even fashioned it so looked respectable and so it all went together. “Never been so grateful to be brought up by Elsa and Sarah.” He told her playfully.

She laughed softly. "There's nothing wrong with sweatpants and a simple stripped shirt for a toddler." She knelt down and reached for Thomas. "Can I pick you up?"

Thomas looked up at her and he looked between them before he gestured up to her with his hands so that he could’ve picked up.

She smiled softly and reached out to lift him gently into her arms before getting back to her feet. "You are such a sweet boy, do you know that?"

Thomas smiled slightly as he listened to her

"So sweet and so handsome like your daddy. Everything's going to be okay now," she whispered, smoothing his hair.

He rested his head against her shoulder. “Mummy…” his voice came out softly in her head as he tried to communicate with her telepathically

She smiled warmly, holding him a little closer to her chest. "Yes, sweet boy. I'm going to be your mummy now," she whispered softly.

Arthur smiled softly as he watched obviously able to communicate with Thomas already. “He’s been trying to reach you all night, searching for your mind but he has t been able to do it until now.”

"I'm only learning how this works myself, so.. I had no idea I could talk to him this way," she still wasn't sure what was going on but it didn't even matter and honestly she was almost in tears with how overwhelming it was but she was happy.

“If you need a break, I can show you how to close your mind.” He offered. “But you still can have some time to yourself, you still have your house.”

"I'll let you show me how but I don't think I'll be doing that much. We're family now Peter," she reminded him. "And my house isn't going to me mine much longer."

“No but it’s still an option for now.” He told her. “I mean I don’t want you getting overloaded before we even start our life together.”

"Peter, if that was to happy it would've already. Think of everything that's already happened within the last twenty-four hours alone."

“I know and that’s what I’m worried about.” He told her. “It’s been a lot with me, him, my father, the bond.”

"And what about you? What about Thomas, hm? Neither of you are getting a break so why should I?"

“He’s my child and I’m his only blood parent, I don’t have the option to leave this.” He told her.

"That isn't true but thank goodness you aren't like that. And I'm not like that either. It doesn't matter to me if I'm blood or not, we're already a family.. aren't we, Thomas?" she cradled the toddler closer as if she was trying to make a point that she was now his mummy and she wasn't ever going to leave him or Peter.

Thomas looked between them and he fisted a hand in her top looking to his dad. “Mummy…” his voice was dry and raspy through lack of use. “Daddy…” he held a hand out to Peter and he smiled slightly when Peter took it.

“Well this looks nice, somethin mg you want to tell me Peter?” Peter and Thomas both looked to see that Kol had phased through the door and was looking at them in curiosity and some other hidden emotion.

Denise kissed the top of Thomas' head with a gentle smile, her eyes lifting when Kol suddenly appeared before them. "There's a lot that's happened over the last twenty-four hours. Do you have some time to join us for a little bit while we get a few things done? We can explain everything at the same time?" she spoke up but her voice was gentle and calm.

“I think that would be a good idea.” Kol told her. “Start talking, but please start with why he looks like crap.” He nodded to Peter

"We'll tell you everything but just.. bare with us a little bit.. we're all still trying to figure some of it as well." She nodded, glancing at Peter. "Okay, let's go.. we need to do some shopping." She headed towards the door. "So it started yesterday morning I guess it was? Maybe a bit before that.. I'm still a little fuzzy on how long its been exactly but umm they came and wanted to take Peter away but I wouldn't let him go without me."

Kol followed her and he listened to what she had to say

"When they got us there.. Kol my gosh it was the worst thing I had ever seen in my life. The things they did to him an- and they it was pure torture. Over and over again."
