Creatures of the Dark

She moved back a few steps from him to give herself space. "It's been a little while..." She muttered, over the last nine or so months she didn't shift very often so now when she did there was a bit of an uncomfortableness to it. Her wolf was strikingly lovely though, a dark brown with little flecks of lighter brown, her eyes still deep and dark brown as they ever were. Giving herself a good shake once she was standing before him, she padded over, nudged her head up underneath his hand like she used to do when she was small before sprinting off.

Rylee looked up at him and smiled brightly..

“You’re acting different, you’re wincing with movement, you’re fatigued, everything looks like you’re putting much more effort into it than normal.”

He smiled back

After ten minutes, Elliot's dapple grey form fell into stride beside her. His seeing amber reflecting against the sun that flitted through the tree, the one he had no vision in a misty glass.

"I got shot multiple times yesterday." Alessia mumbled, grudgingly. "Perhaps you can recover over night but I can't, not yet. Everything hurts."

She gave him the most wolfish grin she could give him with actually sticking her tongue out, when he joined her and sped up even more.

"So what's on your mind?"

Elliot easily kept pace, pushing his weight sideways into her to try and topple her over.

It surprised her a little bit but not enough to make her fall, and she kept running faster away from him.

“You, always you.” He told her truthfully

“That I noticed.” He told her. “You know there is no shame in taking some painkillers.” He told her. “I’ve only been like this because I took some.”

"No, I don't like taking them."

He let her get ahead then, following a distance behindm

She hadn't been trying to take the lead, only being playful and wanting to see if he would trying to topple her over again but she didn't slow down and in fact continuously ran faster.

Elliot slowed to a stop then, turning and walking leisurely back to the start to time her.

“Okay fine.” He told her

"You need to tell me when your hurting, its not fair otherwise." Alessia whispered. "Expecting me to be vulnerable with you if you aren't being the same."

She didn't even say anything, continuing to run faster and faster seemingly enjoying it now.

Rylee smiled over at him, walking in now real direction at all.

By the time she done her laps, Elliott would have been waiting near the stream once again. Watching the water.

“I will and at the moment I’m not.” He told her

Max walked with her

"Right," She mumbled tiredly
