"Right." She sighed

He looked to her he knew that she probably didn’t believe him, and he decided to pour himself another drink. “Want one?” He asked nodding to the bottle.

"No thank you..."

He poured himself a glass from the alcohol he had opened earlier and he sipped it as he sat on the edge of the bed.

"You've been drinking a lot today... what's wrong?"

“I don’t drink because somethings wrong.” He told her. “I drink to stop my cravings for blood.”

"If you are hungry then you should go and eat, mm?"

“Because I know it’s not something you like me doing.” He told her. “I can’t get drunk so it’s not a big deal anyway.”

"I said I don't like it - as in I wouldnt do it, you can do what you want."

“Can’t spend every minute of the day drinking from people anyway so it’s probably a good idea I stick to this.”

"You can spend every moment of the day drinking either. Take a break from both."

“At the moment it’s one of the other, this is quite a new thing to manage it.” He told her

"I don't think you should be drinking to manage it."

“It doesn’t cause harm to vampires princess.”

"I don't care, you should do it."

“I’ll think about it.” He told her as he downed the rest of his glass

She smiled brightly up at him.

He smiled back

Alessia sighed, rolling over so her back was to him then. Staring at the wall.

He watched the window again.

Alessia closed her eyes, snuggling into the blankets to sleep

He stayed awake moving to sit on the window sill once again, throughout the night he had drink a whole bottle of whiskey as he watched the people outside. He watched Hayden and Nate go out for their sons first shift and return as wolves carrying a tired wolf pup, he watched Stefan and his wife go out and enjoy the people, sharing it with their son.

Alessia slept soundly all night, eyes opening the next day.

The next morning he was not in his rooms he was downstairs with Stefan. He was sat at the table holding Stefan son as Stefan himself made the boy some breakfast.

“How old was he?” Stefan asked him.

“My son hadn’t been born yet.” Damian told him as he looked to the young child.

“Does she know?”

“No, I don’t see the point of burdening her with news like that she knows I killed my wife, that should be enough.” Damian told him as he picked up the young boys bottle feeding him.

"Who is she and what doesn't she know?" Alessia asked as she walked into the room, crossing to the sink for a glass of water.
