Malvolio just gave a small, light-hearted laugh, shaking his head before asking, "Shall we get drunk and then go swimming and do whatever spontaneously pops into our minds?"

"I can do both of those things on my own, I don't need a friend to do those with me."

"You can do everything on your own. It's just more fun with other people."

"I'm not going swimming, it's freezing, and I'm not getting drunk, I'll let my guard down and I don't want to do that just yet. Think of something else."

Malvolio rolled his eyes, "Uhh.. Dancing... Bingo... Chess.. These all sound boring… Hmm.. What'd do you like to do?"

"This isn't about me, its about your ability to impress me. You need to pick,"

"It should be about you."

"Well its not, suck it up and deal with it."

He swam to her. "What happened?" He saw her shoulder.

Hanae followed his gaze and frowned deeply, "Ah, nothing," she whispered, "Like I said, dad gets violent when he's drunk."

Malvolio sighed. "I don't work well under pressure

"If you wanna be my friend then get used to it. I'm impulsive. That often brings pressure to those around me."

Malvolio just nodded

"Tick tock," Scarlet said, though in a lighter way than she had earlier. "Your times going down."

"Well I don't know what to suggest," Malvolio laughed.

"Well it looks like you're going to have to find another friend then... See you around Malvolio, I don't get off until the day after tomorrow. I might even be able to help you if I can be bothered." She told him, with an almost sad smile on her face as she finally tugged her wrist free from his grasp and started to walk away.

"Hey that's not fair you never have me the whole time!"

"That doesn't look like nothing."

"Time that you have no idea what to do with! I can tell it's going no where."

Malvolio just frowned deeply.

"It is nothing," Kaida assured gently.

"That frown isn't going to change anything,"

"Don't care.. Still going to frown."

Scarlet just laughed a little, giving him a final smile before she turned her back on him and walked away.

Malvolio just sat himself at the bar and compelled the bartender to get him another drink, downing it in one when he got it.

Violet joined him around half an hour later, ignoring the few stares she got when she sat down next to him, due to her lack of 'dressed up' attire. "You could've told me you were drinking on your own, I would've joined you earlier." she told him as she got herself a drink, flirting with the bartender rather than compelling him to get it for free. "Where's your little hybrid friend?"

"Friend is obviously I think I'll never have," Malvolio grumbled, "She said I had till 12 to prove to her why she should be my friend an' the things I suggested doing she had an issue with and wouldn't help me think of an alternative so walked off."
