"Your dad left then?" She asked softly, holding her tighter.

Astrid just nodded, trembling a little bit. "Just disappeared when I was hugging him.. Just like that." she whispered.

"I'm sorry sweetheart, but I'm sure he'llbe keeping an eye over you."

"M'sure he'll take great pleasure in my relationship falling a part at the seams and will be gutted I can't hear him say that he told me so." Astrid muttered bitterly, "F**king clingy. Haven't said a word to him in f**king days. F**k suggesting we do the Venice thing he suggested before this all happened like I was going to. He can do that sh*t with bloody Olivia since I'm a cheat, annoying and clingy in his eyes."

Tatia sighed deeply at that, "Is this you being jealous or has he said something to you,"

"All he's been doing is calling me annoying and lashing out at me! All I'm trying to do is bloody try and make him feel better and look for comfort a little myself and he keeps pushing me away. Heard him say to Klaus I was clingy, too. I've let him have loads of time alone so I don't know what the f**k is wrong with him and I can't be bothered. F**k him. Reckon Olivia's said something, m'not jealous of her but she hates my guts, says I'm a threat." Astrid gulped, "I thought we'd made up, and them she showed up and suddenly he started pushing me away all the time and ignoring me. Actually ignoring me."

"You know Kol's a bit egotistical don't you?" Tatia said gently. "He likes to think nothing can get to him, and I reckon that Mikael threatening you has pulled him off course a bit with that. I reckon that Mikael scared him by threatening you and he doesn't like it, so he's probably trying to convince himself he doesn't care, make him feel less weak. Olivia probably hasn't helped in that department, but I doubt she'd say anything against you."

"I know he's scared, I know." Astrid muttered, "People keep acting like I don't know him. He's ignoring me, I don't know how the heck to snap him out of ignoring me or make him feel better when he keeps pushing me away. It hurts being pushed away so often, being ignored and yelled at just for caring. He doesn't want me clingy, he's the one making me." Quietly she shook her head and just buried her face in her arms. "Tell me how to make him feel better, because I've tried just being there for him silently, tried talking to him, tried hugging him, I've now left him alone and given him space. I'm tired and upset and I want to go to bed and sleep and wake up to everything being back to normal…"

"I don't know how to fix him baby," Tatia sighed, "But if you want to go sleep then go do that and I'll see if I can have a word with him later."

"He'll just say your singing my praises and storm off," Astrid grumbled quietly, adding, "I can't go to sleep. Kol's in our room and I'm clingy apparantly so.." she shrugged but got up anyone and muttered a quiet thanks to Tatia before heading into hers and Kol's room. Just flipping onto the bed and hiding her face in her pillow.

"M'off out, want any food bringing back?" Kol asked, he was standing in the mirror messing his hair up as she came in.

"Wow, you're talking to me. It's a miracle." She muttered bitterly, pulling the cover over her head and grumbling. "Not hungry. Thanks anyway, I guess."

"If you're going to bitch about me to your mother, at least wait until I'm out of hearing range darling," Kol snapped back, before leaving and heading out of the house.

Tatia headed downstairs to join Klaus with a frown on her face.

"Same to you with Klaus!" Astrid snapped back, "F**k you!" she added, screaming into the pillow when he had left.

Klaus glanced to Tatia with a frown.

Tatia just sighed deeply, "I think they're on the verge of breaking up,"

"Mm, the veil coming down and all the stress with Mikael seems to have driven them apart." Klaus agreed quietly, "Maybe in the next few days things will settle down. When Astrid gets over her father being gone and Kol realises Mikael is definitely gone, though I suppose the latter will happen sooner. I suppose it's like her father dying all over again for her."

"If I could've kept him around for her whilst still getting rid of Mikael then I would've." Tatia sighed as she leaned into him, "It's not something I'd wish on anyone."

"Mm," Klaus hummed softly, kissing the side of her head and whispering, "The point I'm trying to make is Kol acting like he does when his relationship is starting to get serious probably isn't helping her much, just like her needing comfort from him isn't helping him much either. They both seem to need each other but both are being stubborn about it."

"We'll just have to keep out of it, that way we can't be accused of interfering later on if things go bad."

Astrid reached over to grab her phone and texted Kol one word; Sorry. before rolling onto her side, closing her eyes and trying to sleep.

Klaus nodded in agreement.

"How've Mia and Ness been?" she asked quietly, trying to change the subject.

"Just fine," He nodded

"I feel bad that we haven't spent much time with them recently, especially Ness. But then I also feel bad because Mias spent more time with other people in the week that she's been here than she has with us, I feel like I havent bonded with her properly, and thats why shes always crying and upset... I feel like a bad mom." she confessed quietly, smoothing her hand over Mia's head gently, watching her fondly as she slept against Klaus, before turning to glance over at Vanessa, who was still splashing around in the pool.

"It'll get better now," Klaus assured quietly. "Once we get home and get settled again."

Tatia nodded, leaning into him.
