Klaus pressed his lips to the side of her head gently.

Tatia tilted her head slightly towards it.

Adam followed behind her.

Klaus was leant back against a wall, watching the witch do the spell to bring the veil back up a little impatiently. Shifting his weight from one foot to the other.

"I won." Astrid told Adam with a quiet laugh as she put her last card down, having taught and played a card game with him.

"It's done, the ghosts should be gone within minutes." the witch announced after a while.

"Only because I let you," Adam laughed quietly.

Astrid shook her head, "You wish." she grinned

"Good." Klaus replied with a small sigh of relief.

"You're safe then, I guess." She commented with a small shrug. "Call me if you need anything else." she told him before leaving.

"No, you wish I hadn't let you beat me," he grinned, before placing his hand over hers, "Even when I go, I'll still be looking out for you Astrid, I'll always be here for you,"

Astrid frowned then, her mood changing instantly as she lowered her gaze to the table and whispered quietly, "Love you dad.."

Klaus nodded, watching her go before walking to Kol's room and telling him through the door, "The veils up again, Kol. Mikael's gone. We're safe. We can go home whenever."

"Think I might stay in Italy. The rest of you feel free to leave though,"

"I know, I love you too Astrid,"

"Will Astrid be coming back with us or staying with you? You two don't seem to be talking."

Astrid sighed softly and got to her feet, walking around to hug her father silently.

"S'her choice, but she'll probably stay here with me to annoy me a little further."

Adam hugged her back, kissing the side of her head before he suddenly disappeared.

"What's going on with you two?" Klaus asked curiously.

Astrid closed her eyes when he hugged her back, blinking her eyes open when she couldn't feel him there anymore and gulping when she couldn't see him either. Taking a few steps back and picking the cards up quietly before heading back to the hotel.

"Nothing, she's just been a little clingy and annoying, is all."

"Hope you two make up soon." Klaus replied simply, looking to Astrid when she came down the hallway.

Astrid walked straight past hers and Kol's room and just entered Klaus and Tatia's, closing the door behind herself before moving her hands up to cover her face, her breath catching in her throat as she tried not to cry.

"Maybe, maybe not." Kol replied simply, "Shouldn't you be telling everyone else the good news?" he grumbled.

"I'm going to tell Finn now, then Tat." Klaus replied, "I was just seeing what was up with you and Astrid, that's all." he told him before walking away.

Tatia was sat in the back garden outside Rebekah's house, watching Vanessa swim in the pool there are she sat back with Mia. Finn was sat beside her, on the phone to someone.

"The veils up. Mikael should be gone." Klaus told them as he entered the back garden, adding quietly to Tatia, "You might want to go spend some time with Astrid. She walked into our room looking upset, so her fathers probably gone and she may of heard Kol call her clingy and annoying. He's staying here, doesn't want her to stay."

Tatia nodded and got up, handing Mia to him and gently kissing his cheek before heading up to their room.

Astrid was still blocking the doorway. Sat up against it, hugging her knees to her chest and biting down on her thumb to try and calm herself down.

"Astrid, let me in." Tatia said softly after trying the door.

Astrid just shuffled a little bit to the side in silence so she could open the door and get in, wiping the last years out of her eyes and lifting her gaze to the door.

Tatia opened the door and went in, sitting beside Astrid and hugging her gently.

"Don't hug me... It'll make me cry again. I've only just stopped." She told her quietly, but hugged her back. Just closing her eyes to stop any leftover tears from escaping.
