He smiled slightly.

"She can't speak?" Jean-Claude winced. "Is that my fault?"

"How are you feeling?"

Jean-Claude softly swore and ruffled his hair.

Genevieve hesitated and then moved a hand to her stomach, her movements shaky, and frowned.

"See if you can speak, because you should be able to now.'

Genevieve strained to make noise, but she couldn't manage more than a croak and a surprised dribble of blood.

"I guess not then." He wiped the blood from her chin and he gently moved a hand through her hair.

Genevieve moved to rest a hand on her neck, frowning a little.

"Use your mind to talk to me."

It's really sore. You healed it, but the inside..? Genevieve tilted her head in question.

"The only way that I can heal the inside is if I actually bite you and get my venom into you, but I don't want to risk killing you myself."

I suppose it's easier to wait for it to happen naturally then... Genevieve rubbed her throat.

He nodded.

Genevieve sighed silently before folding her hands slowly on her stomach.

"What are you thinking?"

Genevieve shrugged in reply.

"Come on baby, tell me."

"Do you want to go and speak to her now?"

It isn't anything really. Just worries.

I just feel uneasy. I don't know why. Genevieve watched her lap.

She held out a hand for his.

Jean-Claude silently took her hand.

Genevieve nodded quietly before she moved to slip her fingers between his.

She walked with him to Genevieve's room.

He gently held her hand.

Jean-Claude sighed and then murmured, "Don't you think she's too young to be with child though?"

Genevieve squeezed his hand gently before closing her eyes as if to have a rest.

"Yes, but if it is something that she wants, who are we to stand in her way?"
