"She's sticking up for Vanessa," Astrid muttered with a roll of her eyes, siting herself down on the sofa, "Besides, I don't see why I'm expecting to go around there all the time. She can leave the house and visit me for once, I've visited there a few times and the last time Vanessa gave me abuse for it so I'm not putting myself in that situation again."

Klaus just let out a deep sigh.

"I don't see why they just can't get along!"

"Don't talk to her then, if you don't like what she's got to say."

"I didn't know it was something like that, thought it was something important not just her sticking up for Princess Vanessa." She replied with a sigh before asking him quietly, "You been sleeping better these past few days? You still don't seem too happy, you know,"

"Just give them time."

"You always think I'm unhappy."

"They've had almost seventeen years."

"No I don't," She denied, pulling him down beside her and pressing a deep kiss to his lips as she hummed, "You excited for this baseball game? More importantly, are you excited to see this baseball game with me asking you probably obvious questions?"

"Siblings fight, it happens." Klaus shrugged.

"If you speak I'll shove food in your mouth."

"Not to the extent Astrid and Vanessa do, it shouldn't be happening."

"Your such a caring husband," She teased softy, "But, so long as it'll be bacon I won't complain."

"I shoved a dagger through my siblings hearts," Klaus shrugged, "What Vanessa and Astrid are going through doesn't really seem like too much to me."

"I just want them to get along." Tatia sighed.

"It wont be."

Astrid frowned and pressed her forehead to his, "So long as you have fun, I suppose, I'll put up with not understanding it."

"They will eventually."

"You say that like you know."

"You don't have to come."

"I don't know, but it's pretty likely all of this fighting will pass."

"I want to come," She frowned.

"I hope so." Tatia sighed, leaning into him.

"No, you want to make me happy, there's a difference."

"Actually, I want you happy and I want to spend time with you out of the house. This way I kill two birds with one stone."

Klaus kissed the side of her head.

Kol just rolled his eyes.

Tatia turned her head to the side and kissed him softly on the lips in return.

"Ah, don't roll your eyes, you love it really." She smiled.

"If I loved it I wouldn't have rolled my eyes."

Astrid just let out a deep sigh, "If you don't want me to come, I'll stay, I suppose…. What's wrong, pretty boy, something must be bothering you. I've been trying to make you crack a smile and it normally works…"

"What's wrong with me is you." Kol stated bluntly. "You've been stifling me. You always assume there's something wrong with me, just because I'm not smiling. And you don't have to pretend to be interested in the stuff I am, I married you already, I love you for you, you don't need to be interested in the same stuff as me to impress me, we're way past that stage of our relationship. I had a few sleepless nights and now you're constantly checking I'm not falling asleep standing up. I'd let you know if I weren't happy, or if I were tired or something was wrong. You know me, I'm nothing but honest."

Astrid moved away from him then, muttering, "Bugger off to this game on your own then, I'm not pretrending - I told you before you booked the tickets I wanted to spend time with you away from here doing something you enjoy. You always do things you don't particular enjoy for me, I was trying to even that out a little bit."

Kol just rolled his eyes at her response, grabbing her wrist with one hand, whilst using his free one to dig into his back pocket. Within seconds he had placed a set of keys to his car in her hand - a spare set he'd got cut for her. "Enjoy your surprise." he muttered, before walking into the kitchen.

Astrid studied the keys for a moment before getting to her feet and following him, hugging him gently, briefly and whispering a quiet, "Thank you, promise I'll look after her whenever I drive her." before heading back into the livingroom and sitting on the sofa once again.

Kol came and sat back next to her a few minutes later, "I'm trusting you with my baby here." he said a little uneasily. "Giving you the keys is kinda letting you adopt her. But if you go out and damage her, don't bother coming back unless it's with signed divorce papers." he joked quielty

"You can trust me," She promised with a gentle laugh, before whispering seriously, a little nervously, "Since it's today, we need to decide. I'm willing to come to this thing just to get away from my mother and Vanessa and everything else… but if you don't want me to, or feel like I'm being clingy, it's fine I suppose.. I'll just stay here, find something to do. The choice is yours."

"I never actually booked a game." Kol confessed with a small shrug. "I booked a weekend away for the both of us."

Astrid just let out a small sigh remaining silent for a few moments before nodding and asking quietly, "Where to?"
