"Probably," Klaus nodded with a quiet laugh, "Your mood swings are smaller this time, mind, more frequent but smaller."

Nate continued what he was doing.

Malvolio nodded as he glanced back to Trinity, brushing his fingers through her hair, "Yeah… next time you can come if you like."

"M'sorry." Tatia apologised, curling her mouth around the spoon in almost a frown. "I'm trying to keep them in check, but it's not working, I wanted to cry earlier, it's stupid, but I still did."

Once she was done, Vanessa pulled her hands out and dried them off.

Finn watched quietly.

"It's not your fault, I should be more sensitive." Klaus whispered, kissing the top of her head gently.

Nate threw the towel at her head playfully.

Malvolio just gave a small nod in response before glancing to Finn.

Finn gave him a small smile.

"You're actually pretty good in the sensitivity department." Tatia praised, leaning her head towards his kiss. "And you've been surprisingly gently with human me too."

Vanessa wrinkled her nose as it landed on her face, before taking it and tying it around her neck, letting it drop behind her back like a cape.

Nate burst out laughing.

"Mm, could be better though." Klaus whispered quietly.

Malvolio smiled back before whispering to Trinity, "I'll see you at home later tonight, kay?"

"My dad made me a superman cape once, when I was five..." Vanessa reminisced with a smile. "I was bored, and home schooled, and it was just me and him, so I played superhero for the day.."

"You're already doing great, don't worry 'bout it." Tatia assured, reaching over with a cold hand and squeezing one of his.

Malvolio watched her go before glancing to Finn and muttering a quiet, "Sorry… she's very affectionate to me, all the time. Been beating herself up over not being able to cheer me up, I think,"

Klaus smiled and squeezed her hand gently.

Nate just nodded, listening to her.

"It was me and him for a while, actually. My mom died when I was a baby. Didn't come back till nearly my seventh birthday. My dad taught me practically everything; how to brush my teeth, dress myself, talk properly and eat with a fork and knife. All whilst he was still grieving for her. He taught me how to write and read and... and - " she hesitated, before carrying on. "And held me almost every night as I woke up screaming for her... I'd have nightmares, and I'd never even see her face. By the time I was like four I'd forgotten what she looked like almost, the pictures of my parents just weren't real enough." she sighed. "I think that's why me and my dad're so close. Because for almost six years, it was just me and him. I was all he had of my mom."

"It's fine son, don't worry about it."

Tatia just gazed at him softly for a few minutes.

Nate just gave a small frown and pulled her into a gentle hug, kissing the side of her head and whispering, "Didn't have a nice start to life, huh angel?"

"How're you and Sage?" Malvolio asked quietly after a few moments of silence.

Klaus pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.

"Other than that, I had a great childhood, I had everything a kid could ever even wish for, and more, except for my mommy. My dad did brilliantly as a single parent." Vanessa sighed, leaning into him. "One of my biggest fears as a kid, even now still, is that my kids wont see me when they're growning up, that something'll happen to me and they'll be left without their mother." she admitted in a whisper.

Tatia smiled, setting the ice cream down to one side and snuggling up to him to warm up after the ice cream.

"We're... rocky. At the moment."

Malvolio raised an eyebrow at that, "Why? What's been happening… couldn't imagine you two not getting along." he whispered.

Klaus wrapped his arms around him.

Nate frowned deeply at that, "That'll never happen because nothing'll ever happen to you, angel, I'll keep you safe."

"I haven't exactly been very loving or affectionate lately, and she's worrying I'm not taking care of myself."

"Thank you." Vanessa whispered, leaning into him.

Tatia closed her eyes and yawned a little, tucking her legs up underneath her.

"Both of which are fair enough," Malvolio whispered, "You'll get through it, I'm sure. You think you'll get through it?"

Nate ran his fingertips up and down her arm gently.

"Get some rest, if you need it." Klaus told her quietly.

"I hope so, I hope that Sage doesn't leave me over how unfairly I've been treating her."

"I'm not tired, you're just comfy and the icecream made me cold." She laughed a little.

"You're the angel Nate, my own personal guardian angel." Vanessa whispered.

"Bet it hasn't been as bad as I've been treating Trin. I've been blanking her completely most of the time, repteadly telling her she may aswell leave me cause I'm a burden and she can't do anything to make me feel better so should give up. Been getting so drunk at night I only just make it up and just pass out on the couch until it's time to wake up and get drunk again…" Malvolio whispered with a frown. "It's been hard…"

Klaus laughed a bit.

Nate shook his head, kissing the top of her head.


(( Night ))

Tatia moved so she was sitting in his lap, tucking her head under his chin and closing her eyes once more.

"I've been ignoring Sage and Cameron too, which is awful because neither of them have done anything wrong." Finn sighed, before nodding in agreement with what Malvolio added.

"You're perfect to me, don't shake your head." Vanessa whispered.

"Whatever." Falin muttered, narrowing her eyes at him a little before going to wash her dish up.

Kaida was silent.

"Feel bit bad for Caneron though, kid doesn't probably understand that much what's going on."

Klaus rested his head on top of hers gently.

Nate was quiet then.

Tatia soon started dozing against him, despite her earlier words.

Vanessa kissed his cheek softly.

"He never met her, so it's not a huge thing for him."

" 'xactly, so he probably doesn't understand why everyone's so upset," Malvolio replied quietly before laying back and looking up at the sky.

Klaus laughed quietly, watching her sleep.
