Vanessa started to cough blood up violently on the way there, wheezing harshly.

"What do I do? We were at the ball and a hunter showed up and she bit him and he had vervain in his blood." Nate called as he entered the house, just going into the livingroom and sitting on the sofa, wiping the blood away from Vanessa's mouth and whispering, "Keep breathing, angel, keep breathing."

Astrid smiled a little bit.

Tatia rushed down the stairs, having being up there putting the kids to bed. She knelt down beside her daughters head and smoothed her hair away from her face. "Nik! Get a blood bag." she called.

Kol kissed her forehead.

Elijah walked to them and he was dragging a now unconscious hunter behind him how free hand was in the pocket of his blazer and he dropped the body on the floor. "Lets go."

"He would have hurt you." She whispered, sliding her arms around him.

"At least you're ok." He told her then Damon kissed her forehead and he walked to his sister. "You idiot you could have died.' He picked her up in his hug when Jeremy was done with her.

Klaus came in from the kitchen less then a second later and threw one to Tatia. Crouching down beside her and smoothing Vanessa's hair down gently.

Nate watched quietly.

Astrid smiled, kissing him on the lips in return.

"Why didn't you bloody listen to me," Kaida hissed at Elijah, sliding her arms around him in a tight hug, "You scared the life out of me, I don't care if you can't bloody die, you can still get hurt."

Jeremy watched quietly.

Tatia took the top off and gently squirted some on Vanessa's lips. "Ness darling, drink up." she encouraged quietly, smiling when a few seconds later Vanessa started drinking from the bag.

Kol kissed her back softly.

"I'm sorry." Charlotte whispered to her brother, before she went back to Jeremy.

"I know baby, I'm sorry." He only used one arm to hug her back.

Kaida just sighed and glanced up, resting her hand on the side of his face and asking, "Are you okay? Heard the gun go off twice…"

Jeremy wrapped his arms around Charlotte tightly.

"Think you should find Vanessa later and thank her, she tried to help you and got hurt as a result of it." Falin told Charlotte quietly.

Nate let out a small sigh of relief, watching Vanessa closely.

Klaus smiled a little bit, "Good girl, Ness, you'll be just fine now."

Astrid deepened the kiss a little bit.

Tatia smiled too, pulling the bag away once Vanessa was done. She watched as Vanessa briefly opened her eyes to glance around at everyone, before they shut and she slipped back asleep. "She'll be fine, she just needs to rest to get the vervain out of her system." Tatia told Nate quietly.

Kol pulled away after a minute or so.

Astrid frowned when he did.

Nate just gave a nod in response, lowering his head to press his forehead to Vanessa, brushing his thumb against her cheek gently, "Poor angel,"

"You look cute when you pout." Kol laughed.

"She needs rest Nate." Tatia said softly as she stood up. "She can stay here tonight."

"I can carry her home," Nate whispered quietly, lifting his head to look at Tatia quietly.

"She'll get more rest here," Klaus replied bluntly.

Astrid shook her head a bit, "I'm not,"

Kol just nodded.

Tatia nodded in agreement with what Klaus had said. "You feel free to go home though."

"I don't see what you're issue is with me bringing her home, she'll rest more in her bed. I'll sleep on the sofa so she has more bed room." Nate replied with a shake of his head.

Astrid shook her head.

"There's no point moving her now when she's already resting. If you want to stay then we can't force you not to."

Kol rolled his eyes.

"No, I'm clearly not welcome." Nate muttered with a shake of his head, "I'll see her tomorrow," he muttered before heading out of the door without another word.

Astrid sighed softly.

Tatia sighed as she watched him leave, before sitting back down beside her daughter without another word.

Kol kissed the tip of her nose.

Klaus just shook his head before watching Vanessa's quietly.

Astrid laughed a little bit at that, sitting herself up a bit and kissing the bottom of his chin gently.

Kol moved his arms from her as she sat up. "You've perked up a little."

Vanessa was sleeping soundly, and continued to do so until a few hours later. Tatia had fallen asleep on the couch watching over her, and didn't wake when Vanessa started whimpering in her sleep.

Klaus had been watching them both silently and frowned a little bit at his daughter, smoothing her hair down and whispering softly, "Sshh Ness,"

"Mm, have I?"

"Yes, you have." Kol nodded.

"Nate?" Vanessa whispered, opening her eyes, which were bloodshot and red. Looking round, she started panicking when she didn't see him. "He's left me hasn't he?!" she said frantically, sitting up and coughing harshly. "Where is he?!"

"Font freak out." He moved his blazer and showed two bullet wounds where his pocket was.

Charlotte looked at her. "No offence, but I find that hard to believe." She stayed close to Jeremy. "You can stay if you want, but im going to go home."

"You complete b**h, you saw it, she ripped into that guys throat right in front of you." Falin hissed at Charlotte, "Damon, you saw it, make your pathetic sister see sense would you?"

Kaida frowned deeply when she saw the wounds, asking quietly, "Does it hurt?" as she slid an arm around him and whispered, "Lets get you home and cleaned up,"

"Don't know why," She replied with a small shrug.

"No, he hasn't left you. He's just gone home, lean back and get back to sleep Vanessa. You need sleep." Klaus sighed, patting his daughters back gently when she began to cough.

"Must be all the energetic energy I'm giving off." Kol laughed.

"I did something stupid and now he's left me," Vanessa continued to panic, before dissolving into a coughing fit once more, waking her mother who got up and walked to her, keeling beside her and gently trying to soothe her by rubbing her arm.
