Ellie handed him the teddy before driving off quickly.

Nate put the teddy on Holly's stomach gently, taking her hand and guiding it to rest on the teddy gently. "My poor little girl," he whispered.

"She should've been safe, we've used that place a million times before, why now?" Ellie said quietly as she drove towards the hospital.

"I don't know…" He whispered, "I just don't know…"

Malvolio just rested his head on hers silently.

Ellie soon pulled up outside the hospital, parking the car and getting out, heading inside to find someone quickly.

Nate followed close behind.

"Stop. I'mma get drunk." Malvolio grumbled quietly, moving away from her and heading back inside quietly. Leaning against the bar and compelling himself a drink.

Ellie quickly waved over Nate when he got inside, and the nurse who was with her frowned deeply at the state of Holly. "This is the third person we've had brought in in the past couple of hours with injuries like this, but she's the only child and hers are b y far the worst." the nurse said quietly, motioning a bed over and when one was brought she gestured for Nate to put Holly down on the bed. "She'll have to be taken straight into surgery, are you okay with that?"

"Just save her." Nate replied quietly with a nod, placing Holly down on the bed and kissing her forehead gently. "Hang in there, petal,"

The nurse nodded, "We'll do the best we can, I promise." she told him, before talking to two attendants and watching as Holly was quickly rushed down to surgery. She then gestured towards some seats for Nate and Ellie, "We'll let you two know as soon as possible when she's out, or if anything changes."

"You need to let Vanessa know, chances are she's already over here, waiting at your place for you." Ellie whispered quietly, sitting down on one of the chairs.

"I know," Nate whispered, pulling his mobile from his pocket as he sat himself down on the seats the nurse had motioned to. Slowly flicking through the contacts on his phone until he found Vanessa's number and calling her. Closing his eyes and exhaling slowly through his nose as he listened to it ring, tilting his head baxk

"I know, I know, We're late in picking her up." Vanessa said as she answered her phone. "But we've only just gotten out of the airport, the flight was delayed, she's not mad at me is she?"

"Angel, don't be mad, I'm just as terrified for her as you're going to be so when I tell you this don't you dare blame me." Nate grumbled quietly, having gotten into the habit over the years to only call her 'angel' when something was really wrong.

"Do as you like, Trin," He whispered.

"Terrified?" Vanessa sounded confused, before she suddenly paled. "Nate, what's wrong with her? What's happened?!" she asked, panicking instantly.

"Wolf… The cabin's always worked, I don't understand what happened." Nate replied quietly in response, "We're at the hospital, she's having emergency surgery at the minute…"

Malvolio downed his drink silently.

Malvolio glanced to her quietly.

"Oh my god," Vanessa whispered, going instantly silent for a few minutes. "Don't you dare let her die Nate." she whispered even quieter, before adding. "I'm on my way, I'll be there as soon as I can."

"The doctors are saving her," Nate replied simply before whispering, "She'll probably be in surgery for a few hours,"

"I'll be there as soon as I can." Vanessa repeated, before hanging up and looking round for her father.
