The Queen Is After Me

April just shrugged a bit. "M'not really being empathetic though, am I? Which may aswell be the same thing."

"I'm not expecting you to be. I can't expect anyone to understand so I'm not asking you to either. Don't worry."

"I should try to though, like I have been. I'm just stressed out today, I guess, I shouldn't be taking it out on you."

"If you're having a bad day, you're having a bad day. There's no need to worry if you're taking it out on me. Being stressy isn't a sign you're a nasty person or anything." Keagan carried the casserole dish into the dining room and leaned to kiss her forehead, saying in a softer voice, his tone fond, "I'm not going to judge you or hate you for something everyone goes through every now and then."

April closed her eyes at the kiss and leant into it a little bit, giving a small nod and whispering very gently, "Think I love you, I hope it's not too early in the relationship for me to tell you that but….  You understand me, and I trust you, and to me you're perfect and sweet and… yeah."

"Keep saying things like that, and you'll make me blush," Keagan teased. "You can say it if you want, but, just in case, perhaps we should wait for a few weeks, months into the relationship to make sure that feeling stays, okay? I don't want you to get confused or feel obliged or anything..."

"We have been together a few months, so I don't think it's like terribly early. I only say think because I've never trusted anyone enough to love them before, so it's new for me." She shrugged.

"We've only known each other for around six months, perhaps less, and we've been together for only under half of that. We're both young and prone to mistakes as well. I don't want you to feel pressured if you change your mind later on."

"S'why I said think… doesn't matter, forget it…"

"I'm just making sure you know," Keagan murmured softly, moving to bring the salad into the dining room.

She nodded

"Can you get Fleet and Danny while I dish it out?"

"Can we swap it around - I dish it out and you get them?"

Keagan hesitated but nodded. "Use the ladle for the casserole. Fleet doesn't have much casserole, but twice as much salad. Danny doesn't have that much at all and he only likes the cucumber, so I'll pick that out for him. You can do your own, and I'll serve my own. Fleet's is the chair in front of the window, Danny's next to him."

"I know everyone's seats," She replied with a small laugh before teasing, "You have OCD sometimes,"

"I just like to make sure that everyone is as far from my side of the table as possible. It's just sort of habit for us now..."

April nodded.

Keagan smiled before walking to the living room to get Danny and Fleet.

April served out the food before sitting down at her seat quietly.

"Fleet's getting headaches again," Keagan murmured as he walked back through, absently brushing his hand over her shoulder before he walked into the kitchen. "He's done well though..."

Danny bounced through cheerfully, throwing himself into his seat almost forcefully.

(( The temptation to make a character for Fleet right now is huge ^.^ ))

April smiled a little bit at the contact and nodding in agreement with him. Remaining silent though.

((One emotionally tortured character at a time, Beth, one at a time...btw Jason did buy ice cream lol))

Fleet staggered in to sit heavily as well rubbing his forehead as Keagan came back through with a tray of drinks and painkillers.

(( I like RPing two at a time, it's weird only having one xD ))

April watched quietly with a frown.

((Jason just called me a tattle tail. I didn't know what he meant at first because it was spelt tadle lol. You told him...?))

Keagan carefully placed the tray in the middle, out of the way, and let Fleet and Danny take their own drinks, Fleet scooping up the painkillers too.

(( I text him  'I knew you'd buy ice cream!' xD ))

She reached over and grabbed a drink off the tray for herself, handing Keagan one a moment later with a gentle smile.
