The Vampire Diaries

Kol listened silently, looking to Eri when she spoke.

"Please dad, please don't, don't do this. I like him, he's the only friend I've had in ages, the only one I can really talk to, don't take that away from me, please." Eri begged, standing up and trying to back away when Kol sighed and walked towards her, taking her face in his hands and compelling her.

"You'll forget any feelings you had for Karl, you wont like him, and you'll think of him as an annoying older brother you never wanted in your life. Now you're going to go up to bed, and go to sleep and forget that this happened, that you and him happened." he said quietly, sighing and kissing the top of her head before letting go and watching as she nodded and headed upstairs.

Astrid just watched quietly.

A few moments after Eri went upstairs, Karl blinked his eyes open with a small groan, moving his hand to his head and rubbing the side of it silently.

(( Yup. Well, when Karl turns hybrid it'd make him remember, wouldn't it? ))

((Ah yeah, forgot about that.))

Kol simply did the same with Karl, taking his stepsons face in his hands and quietly compelling him. "You'll forget any romantic feelings you had for Erika, she'll be the annoying little sister you never wanted, you want nothing to do with her. You're going to forget this ever happened, and you have a headache because you banged your head tripping over something Eri left out this morning." he then let go.

Karl just nodded as he was compelled, mumbling something incoherent and heading up the stairs.

Astrid got to her feet and walked to Kol, just pulling him into a small hug.

"I hate myself for that, I hate myself."" Kol whispered.

"Don't," She whispered, brushing her fingers through his hair soothingly, "I know you do, but you don't have to. It's for the best, pretty boy, you know it's for the best."

Kol just sighed and shook his head.

"It's okay, it's all okay." He comforted.

A few months later, Eri came downstairs just as Karl would've been waking up from his transition. Rolling her eyes at everyone sat around him, waiting for him to wake up, she entered the kitchen.

Karl groaned quietly as he blinked his eyes open, slowly sitting himself up and glancing around at everyone.

"Hey darling," Astrid greeted softly, "Welcome to the world of the immortal," she grinned.

Vanessa - who's blood had been used to turn Karl - gently put a hand on his face and turned him towards her. "You don't have to do anything I say if you don't want to, you don't have to feel compelled to make me happy, I'm not your responsibility." she said gently, breaking the sire bond.

Karl just gave a small nod.

"I'll leave you to it," Vanessa said quietly with a smile, "Let me know if you need anything." she then got up and left, heading home.

"Is the drama over?" Eri asked as she leant in the doorway.

Karl lifted his gaze up to Eri when he heard her, studying her quietly and going to smile before realising his mother and Kol were there and forcing himself to keep a straight face.

"There was no drama," Kol rolled his eyes and shook his head, getting up and heading into the kitchen.

"M'home!" Vanessa called when she got back.

Astrid ruffled Karl's hair gently before getting to her feet and following Kol into the kitchen quietly.

"Eri, come here a second." Karl whispered quietly when both Kol and Astrid had left the room, patting the spot beside him quietly.

"Welcome back!" Leon replied with a quiet laugh.

"You bite me and I'll fucking hit you so hard you wont even be able to have kids with a werewolf or another hybrid." Eri said as she moved to sit down next to him.

"Dad ba ba!" Karina shouted from Leon's lap, having made him sing baa baa black sheep for the entire time Vanessa was gone.

Vanessa laughed at that, walking in and kissing the top of her head. "It all went well."

((Will poof soon and be on properly after midnight))

"Good," Leon grinned before laughing and telling Karina, "No Kari, I think it's your mums turn now."

"He compelled us…" Karl whispered, lifting his hand up to rest on her cheek, "I remember now, he compelled us. Fight it, I know you can fight it."

Eri backed away at that, "What the hell!" she hissed, balking away.

"Mum ba ba!" Karina called, holding her hand arms up.

Vanessa laughed at that and picked her up.

"Eri, come on, you have to believe me." Karl whispered quietly.

Leon watched with a quiet laugh.

Why would I do that?"

"She's growing heavy," Vanessa grinned.

"Because I haven't lied to you in the past, because you want to believe me, deep down."

"Mm," Leon hummed in agreement, "She's grown so much since we got her back."

"Its cause we've fed her."

"No, I want to hit you for touching me!"

Karl shook his head at that, "Come on Eri, remember…"

"What Karl?! Remember what?!"

Vanessa grinned then.
