Tamara hesitated before lifting her gaze up to look at him, remaining silent.

"I'm not cute." Adam mumbled with a deep frown.

"In about half an hour, I could leave it though, today... Go later."

"No, no, you have a job. I'll be fine. If it comes to it, I'll get Nate to come help me. He should pull his weight."

"I uh, I - " Adrian just flushed even deeper then. "S-sorry."

"You are, but you're also handsome."

Tamara hesitated before getting to her feet and walking to his side, crouching down and resting her hand on his knee to try and put him at ease so he could actually talk. "Come on... spit it out..."

Leon tensed a little bit at the mention of Nate, whispering, "Are you sure... I could just go in late, or tomorrow."

"I'm not cute."

She just let out a deep sigh of relief in response to that, lifting her hand up to rest her fingertips gently on his cheek, "Well, that's a relief."

Olivia just pressed her lips to his. "We could go for a game of pool?"

"I - " Adrian started on another stuttering spree before just stopping and shaking his head.

"It's okay," She whispered, voice soft. Adding, lightly, with a small smile, "I don't bite."

"Mm," Adam hummed as he kissed her back, "That sounds like a good idea," he agreed.

Leon just gave a small nod.

Olivia nodded, though kept her lips pressed to his.

"I c-a-ant." Adrian stuttered, meaning he couldn't speak when he was so nervous and flustered.

Vanessa closed her eyes then, letting her head flop onto the pillow.

"I know, I know... I've kind of guessed that." She whispered, brushing her thumb against his cheek bone before dropping her hand. "Just calm down, hm? I'll - uh - I'll give you a minute."

Adam pulled her against him.

Leon kissed the side of her head gently, covering her over and whispering, "I'll phone Nate."

Adrian nodded before getting up and heading into the kitchen to get a glass of water to steady his nerves.

"Thanks Leon."

Olivia tangled her fingers in his hair.

Tamara watched him go before setting up the chess table properly, just as something to do.

Adrian gulped down his drink, hands still shaking.

He laughed gently against her skin.

Adrian shook his head and took her hand to show her rather than stutter.

Olivia moved her hands to his waist.

Astrid just gave a small nod in response to that, "Just take a few deep breathes, Rian," she soothed gently. "If you feel the same way about her then it is a good thing, isn't it?"

Adam slowly pulled away after a few moments.

Leon laughed a little bit.

Vanessa smiled and closed her eyes.

"Why?" Olivia groaned.

"I can't speak to her now."

Adam just laughed a little bit, "Because you said we'd play pool, that's why."

"You didn't think you could talk to her when you first met her either, Rian," Astrid pointed out, "Just go back into the room and kiss her or something, you have nothing to be nervous about."

Leon just rubbed her back gently, helping soothe her to sleep.

"I can't i - " Adrian started stuttering again at the thought.

"I'd rather do this though."

Leon sent Nate a quick text before getting to his feet and heading off silently to go to the stables.

If he'd have arrived Vanessa would've been sat huddled next to the toilet again, having vomited up the contents of the bloodbags she'd had.

"No, you just fear too much sometimes over things you don't have to fear." Astrid sighed, pulling him into a hug and whispering, "You feel the same way about her, so go and show her that, you'll know what exactly to do in time - like you did with your friendship with her. But staying here, too scared to go out, will probably just make her feel like you didn't mean it when you said you felt the same way."

"Hey angel!" Nate called when he entered the house.

"Yes, but then I'd have to get changed again before work and I can't be bothered for that."

"Up here!" Vanessa called as loud as she could.

"Oh, you can't be bothered?"

"I don't know how mum!"

"You've seen me and your father being affectionate enough times, Adrian," She replied with a laugh, "Just go for it, even if you go back in there and just talk to her like you did before she told you."

"To get back into clothing afterwards. I'd want to stay in bed with you instead of going to work, and I can't do that."

Nate wandered up the stairs then and into the room she was in.

Vanessa rested her head against the bath tiles for the coolness.

"Oh it's fine, I get it. You can't be bothered. I can't be bothered either." Olivia hummed as she flopped into the bed.

"But I've never done anything like this sober before!"
