"How would you know? You never bothered with me or any of us until Lucas and Sarai came along." Hope pointed out.

"When we were growing up I did." Mia mumbled quietly, "Just put up with me trying to comfort you, okay?"

"Mm," He mumbled, leaning into the window and resting his head on it. Closing his eyes.

"You didn't. Always hated us because there's only a few years between us. You felt like mum and dad paid too much attention to us and not you. I remember you telling me that once. Said if it wasn't for me and Henrik you'd be the baby again."

"Hey, I just agreed to marry you. Look happier?"

Mia just grimaced, leaning her head back against the wall and muttering a quiet apology.

"But then you drove, so..." Adam replied, almost light-heartedly. "Lets just get back to the hotel, okay? Get out of this car as soon as we can.."

Olivia nodded.

"I always looked up to you when we were younger. Vanessa and Astrid weren't around much."

(( 26?! Bloody hell :L I'm not looking forward to the first show of JCS in an hour. We've already flash-mobed the finale in the college canteen and done three dress runs with notes so I'm exhausted haha ))

"I always looked up to Ness, she treated me awfully too. I guess I didn't know how to be an older sister then, was going by the example I'd had off of Vanessa, since Astrid wasn't around too much for me either. I'm sorry, for the times I was horrible to you.. sorry for all the mistakes I've made really."

"We all know Vanessa has a bit of a daddy's girl complex. Technically the oldest sibling out of her 'pack' and resistant to getting attached in case they died like mum did." Hope whispered. "Not that me and Rik were any better, we kinda just ignored everyone but each other once we got into our teens." She laughed a little then. "We're not perfect, but what family is? By the time Ness was in a decent place after Hawaii she had Holly to look after... I guess she never found the time to properly bond with any of us. Kira and Lucas were close but since she had her babies he's drifted towards you."

((There was a casting Facebook page that everyone was quoting as the reason they though Hope was going to be in season 2, because they advertised for a 4 month old baby girl,but nobody realised that the baby was advertised six weeks before s1 stopped filming so it has nothing to do with s2 haha))

Olivia smiled.

"My daughter has a father who complains about hardly ever seeing her, who I could always drop her off with." Mia replied with a shrug, adding, "I'm here for you, Hope."

"I'm a big girl, I don't need anyone. Should suck it up because vampires can't have babies anyway."

Olivia pulled out then and started driving towards the hotel.

"We've found ways around everything though.. witches have done amazing things, even figured out a way to bring us back from the dead. It isn't a case of us not being able to have children anymore, now we are suppose to be able to as long as we have those connections so don't feel silly, or bad for feeling devastated. It's natural, completely natural."

"I think it's worse because it's me that's wrong. He could go off and have a family with someone else and I can't stop him but me... I'll never have my own."

"Mm," She hummed quietly in response, just pulling her sister into a hug. Letting out a soft sigh.

"What do you want?" Adam asked, "I'd like to go and visit Rian, but..." he shrugged, "I wouldn't want to abandon you at home alone, or in England all alone for a few hours whilst I saw him."

"If you're wanting to go see your brother to see him."

Hope leaned against her heavily. "I just want a child of my own. Henrik suggested adoption like it's the same thing..."

"It's not the same thing," Mia agreed quietly, "But I see how Trinity is with her adopted son - or I used to before the whole me and Cal having a 'break' thing happened, and it reminded me of what I'm like with Eve. He knows too, and he never treated her any differently. It'd be tough, and I imagine not every case is the same but it could work out and... there are lots of kids needing homes, families to love them and make them feel wanted, right?"
