"I don't wanna leave her." Olivia whispered.

"What if they don't want to be a vampire when they're older? I'll have to watch my child die. What if they break away from me because they don't view me as their mother? What if try search out their real parents and I'm forgotten? If I have a child it'll be mine. Nobody else's. I wouldn't be able to cope."

"Because they care and when something happens to upset people you care about then you worry."

"I think he's always going to struggle to be honest." Adam whispered, "Will never be fixed. He's not as bad as he once was, not since meeting Tamara but he spirals easily, y'know? And it seems like if she isn't there to spot the very first sign of the spiral and comfort him before it starts then it's difficult to pull him out, she's the only one that seems to be able to stop him from spiralling too."

"He was just worried about you... Don't blame him, hm?"

"Then I'll be here for you..."

"I can't Tatia, it's your decision to make, your body that'll be put under strain." Klaus whispered.

"But it's you who's going to be the one I'm leaning on emotionally. I'm going to be crying on your shoulder and asking you to do things for me and I'm going to be snapping at you when I'm not feeling great... And if it all goes pear shaped... It'll be you clearing up the mess with me."

"I hope he feels like that towards me some day."

Hope nodded, going to the door and locking it before heading upstairs in silence, waiting outside the door of the spare room to show Mia.

Mia followed her up the stairs and whispered a quiet, "Thanks Hope.. Just tell me when you want me gone and I'll go okay? Other than that, I can stay as long as you want me."

"I'd rather you didn't, but then how can I say that if you're willing to, and it'll make Hope happy?"

"I could see Mia's fears over it, I could also see how the fears she had hurt you. It broke you, and it's getting harder and harder to cheer you up again after things like this happen more recently... Scared I'll lose you."

"I know, Ollie, I know." Adam soothed softly, "Don't worry. I know the truth."

Zacarias' arm automatically went around her.

"It's me Zac... I got tested. It's my fault we can't have a baby, my eggs just aren't good enough..." Hope confessed quietly, trembling a little. "If you want to leave and go ahead and find someone who can have children then I wouldn't stop you from going..." She added shakily. "I'd understand."

Tatia listened with a frown. "You wont lose me Nik." She soothed. "I - you won't lose me. I know it's getting harder but I'm still fighting."

"I do love your dad. I won't deny it, I've never denied it. But if you were both on the edge of a cliff and I had to pick one it'd be you hands down." Olivia whispered. "And it hurts that someone so close to you, your brother, can't see how much I love you."

Hope visibly relaxed in relief at that, turning over and pressing her face against his chest. "I'm sorry for ruining our dreams, for ruining yours.... You wanted a family so so much."

"Thank you for defending me against him."

"As long as I have you I'll never be lost. I hate it sometimes, I won't lie. That I rely so much on you to keep sane. But it's comforting all the same to know I have you."
