Vanessa helped Nikolai into the backseat, letting him lay down and close his eyes.

I kept referring to Mica as our child until she gave permission for her to move out without consulting me about it first. Then when I told her that I wasn't happy, she played that card with me so I played a card back. It was only fair. Thanks for the understanding, Kol. I can drink alone, that's fine Maybe you should go and help Tatia pack my daughters bags? Klaus text back before turning his phone off.

"You're safe now Nikki, you're safe. We'll get you a shower and food and into bed and then we can go home." Vanessa soothed her son gently.

Klaus didn't even text back, having turned his phone off.

"Come on, lets go," Leon whispered.

Vanessa nodded, getting in beside Nikolai and resting his head on her lap.

I've packed your bags, so come and get them when you get this. I've contacted your friend Ava and she's more than happy to let you stay with her so I guess you get what you wanted after all Nik, you've ruined our marriage and she wont see you as soft any more. Well done. Tatia text him a few hours later.

I've tried to make it up to you. It's your turn to apologise. Klaus text back. Have you packed Mica's bags too? Is she already off living with Lucas?

Leon got in the front of the taxi where there was room.

I didn't act fucking ridiculous in order to prove a point to someone who doesn't even fucking matter! I never said Mica could live with Lucas, I was trying to make him see how much of a responsibility it would be if he were to have her living with him! And then you deliberately hurt me by pointing out the fact I'm not her birth mother! As if I haven't been a mother to her in every way since she was born. I have nothing to apologise for and if that's the way you think then maybe you should pick up divorce papers too. And no. She's trying to cry quietly in her room with Lucas because she overheard what you said and she already felt pretty upset about Ana tonight and you've just highlighted that I'm not her mum. Well done.

"We'll be there soon my boy." Vanessa soothed as the driver set off.

Klaus didn't text her back, just compelling himself another drink, his hands trembling ever so slightly.

Leon remained silent, just staring out of the window tiredly.

Vanessa leaned forward and rested a hand on his shoulder.

Tatia stared at her phone for a few minutes, though sighed when she realised he wasn't going to reply and just put it down.

He leant back against her touch, reaching his hand over to rest it on top of hers.

"It'll be okay now, mm?"

Come the morning, Tatia had placed the bags of Klaus' things by the door, though she herself was asleep on the sofa as she'd expected him home that night.

"We still have Karina to sort out." Leon reminded her quietly, "So no, not yet. It won't be alright yet."

Klaus just wandered into the house, looking tired and upset. Walking straight past the suitcase and bags, he just headed up the stairs without a word. Laying on the bed to sleep.

The morning after the meal, Falin knocked on Kol's front door.

"What're you doing here?" Kol mumbled as he opened the door.

Tatia shook him awake a few hours later when she herself had woken up and realised he was in the house. "Get out. I've packed your bags. Out."

"Karina will never fully be okay..." Vanessa sighed deeply

"She'll be better then she is now..."

Klaus didn't react, childishly faking to have not been stirred by being shook.

"What's wrong?" Falin asked quietly, "I'm sorry if I hurt you... Did I? It was in jest, I swear it was."

"Oh go away. You hurt me on purpose."

"Well fine. If you wont go I will. I'll leave you with your daughter because obviously I have no right over her according to you because I'm not her mother." Tatia mumbled getting a bag out and putting her own clothes in it.

"Yes... but never fully."

"Why would I?" She asked quietly.

---

"I told you so we could discuss it not so you could give her permission to leave! You have Lucas permission to tell her she could go without!" Klaus groaned, burying his face in the pillow.

Leon just shrugged at that, "That isn't the point."

"Well it doesn't matter now even if I did, which I didn't, does it? Because what I say means nothing when it comes to Mica because you're playing the 'she's not yours she's mine' card. So whatever Nik. Whatever. I'm sure as soon as I go your new girl will fill my space. Maybe you can give her this." Tatia mumbled as she flung her wedding ring at him, putting the bag over her shoulder and heading downstairs.

Vanessa sighed deeply.

"I don't know. But you should know that what you said wasn't in jest. Whatever, go find someone else to rip the shit from. I can't be bothered."

Klaus flinched at the ring hit him, pushing over the bedside cabinet in frustration and beginning to cry.

"Why am I the bad guy to all of you!?" Falin snapped then, "It was a joke, for fuck sake, you're laugh makes me smile that's all I fucking meant by it! Stop sounding like Vanessa! Stop it! Don't say we're friends and then suddenly start talking like her. It was a fucking joke!"

Leon tilted his head to the side so he could kiss her fingers gently. Pressing his forehead against the knuckles of her hand gently afterwards, though within a few moments his head slumped a bit. Having fallen asleep.

"Sleep well, my lion." Vanessa whispered gently, moving her hand to comb her fingers through his hair soothingly.

"What the fuck are you crying for?! I didnt do what you did! I didn't spend half the night in a club getting off with another woman! I didn't rub it in your face that one of our children isn't yours, making the past fifteen years that I've cared for her seem worthless! Why the fuck are you crying!" Tatia hissed, tears welling in her own eyes.

"Well if I'm like Vanessa you'll want to leave, mm?!"

"I didn't do anything to you, Kol!"

Klaus just put his head in his hands.

Leon slept soundlessly.

Vanessa woke him up sometime later. "Leon, we're here my lion."

"Come on! Why are you crying?!"

"Just go Falin."

"Because I've lost everything!" Klaus hissed shakily, "Everything. Everyone."

"Mm?" Leon hummed, blinking his eyes open with a yawn. "Oh... Sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep."

"I'm sorry. I don't know what the fuck I done wrong but I'm fucking sorry." Falin mumbled. "You said we were friends, Kol."

"I don't need friends. I need Astrid." Kol mumbled. "She was all I needed, all I need. I don't need friends."

"And who's fault is that?!"

"It's fine, It's just that I can't carry both you and Nikki." Vanessa joked as she got out and picked her son up into her arms.

"No, no I'll take him." Leon whispered, "You head up ahead, get some rest yourself." he told her quietly as he got out and took Nikolai from her.

"Mine!"

"Who do you have without friends?" Falin asked quietly with a frown, letting out a small sigh as she took a step inside.

"Exactly! Yours! I love you and yet you still went off with her! Let her opinion matter! Made out like I wasn't a mother to Mica!"

Vanessa just nodded a little and headed upstairs.

"What're you doing?" Kol frowned deeply.
