She nodded. "Just give me a few seconds to hide these." She pointed to the wings that stuck out behind her and she looked at Ben. "Do you have my belt?"

"I do." He pulled a thick belt from the drawer next to him and she walked to him, turning her back to him as she held up her arms and he fastened it just under her breasts and it kept her wings in line with her body so that they weren't that noticeable, since Alice couldn't make them disappear just yet.

Stephen and Max before ran out to join her.

He watched them with a look of curiosity at this.

She grinned at both boys as they joined her. "Hey...lookit," She whispered coming to a stop nodding her head towards the tree where Rylee was appearing to blend away into.

"Who is it?" Max asked.

"Why don't you find out?" Stephen asked him.

Alice smiled her thanks at Ben, before she walked over to get her coat and she looked back at Frank. "Are you coming?"

"I am," Frankie nodded grabbing his jacket and pulling it on to fight the early morning chill.

"Yeah go ahead Max. And take it easy she seems quiet..." Ana whispered backing herself into Stephen.

Stephen slid his hands to her arms so that she didn't know the both of them over from moving any further back.

"Why me?" He asked, but Stephen ended up pushing him forward, so he carefully walked over to the girl. "Um hi..."

Frankie headed outside holding the door open for her.

Ana lofted her head up to look at him when he grabbed her arm. It took a second for when to realize what happened.

Rylee gasped staring at the all wide-eyed.

She followed him, waving goodbye to Ben as she left.

"I mean you no harm." Max told her. "I know I look terrifying, but I don't mean to be."

Stephen smiled slightly at her, quickly letting her go.

"Come on," She whispered grabbing his upper arm and pulling him along telling him once out of ear shot, "I think that kid was scared to death by us."

Frankie nodded at Ben as they left.

She eyed him silently slowly tilting her head at him.

"Probably." Stephen told her when they were far enough away to not be overheard.

Max looked at her. "May I sit?" He gestured to the space beside her.

Alice looked at him. "So, what have you seen already?"

She gave him a light smile. "Have you tried animal blood?"

Rylee nodded very slowly turning to she could watch him carefully.

"Not to much really. A bit of the town center."

"I did but it didn't feel right." He shrugged. "I'm still drinking it if that counts."

Max looked at her as he sat next to her. "I'm Max by the way."

Alice nodded. "Right, this way." She led him down streets showing him everything and eventually they wound up in the park.

"It's gross, isn't it?," She whispered in agreement.

"Rylee...." She mumbled barely above a whisper hugging herself tighter.

He walked with her looking at everything. "So what's going on with the two bloodsuckers, they together? he asked randomly.

"Yeah it really does."

"It's nice to meet you." Max told her. "Would you like to come inside?" He asked gesturing to the house.

Alice just shrugged. "I don't really, maybe they are or maybe they are just united in blood lust, who knows."

"So what're we going to do?"

Rylee shifted her gray eyes towards the house. "I don't think I should..."

Frankie chuckled. "Bloodlust huh?"

"Isn't that what people call it?" She asked.

"Hanging around bloodsuckers wasn't my thing, I don't really know "

"We should hunt. We need to. It's what we do..."

Rylee shook her head scooting away almost disappearing into the tree

"Yeah and hunt what exactly?"

"It wasn't mine either, the ghosts and angels are more my thing." She told him playfully. "You know, you still haven't told me what you are."

"Sorry Rylee, I just want to make sure that you're safe."

"Something. Anything. It isn't fair you know Stephen. We feed, it's what we do."

"Ghosts aren't hard to deal with. Angels though, I can handle them," he laughed. "So you haven't figured it out?"

"Why would you do that?"

"Not yet." Alice told him. "Are you going to tell me?"

He shrugged.

She looked at him. "Then what do we do?"

"A darkangel."

She lifted her head to look at him curiously.

"Be serious." Alice told him.

He looked at her.

Ana frowned at him. "You're supposed to know."

"You would have thought that I'd worked that out."

Max looked away, looking to the sky.

"I would've but you didn't. Why, I'm not sure."

She sighed shaking her head. "What if we hunt together, further from here?"

"Sounds like fun."

"I just assumed that all dark angels have wings on show, you well, don't."
