"Not like I don't love these little gatherings of ours." Maxx spoke after a while. "But we don't usually have house gatherings unless there is big news to be shared." He looked at Alice and Hayden. "What's the surprise?"

"Maxx, maybe there isn't any and they just wanted to get us all together?" Ben asked and from one look by Maxx, he knew that Maxx was right.
