"Isaac is a smart kid who can handle himself, I don't like to leave the apartment often and he loves the fresh air. We are opposites. I'm not going to ban him from leaving and turn him into a hermit when he is obviously more of a butterfly." Christopher snarled. "As for the noise last night, I have no idea what you are talking about, I was passed out on the sofa by ten."

"Still, safety of the boy is a high importance." He told him.

Jeni smiled. "You're very welcome." She told him. "Would you like me to walk you home?"

"He is safe. Is there anything else that I can help you with?"

"Chris wouldn't like it," Isaac whispered after a few moments of thought, "And he's already going to be mad at me for not keeping Duchess safe."

"If the same complaint goes in again then this will be taken higher."

"I can't just let you walk home on your own, it's getting dark." She told him. "I just want to make sure you're safe."

"You need proof he isn't being kept safe, and you have none." Christopher replied sharply, muscles tensing at the threat.

"Only to the building then. Please? I don't want him mad."

Koby looked at him, Koby was actually calm and relaxed just giving him the low down to prepare him. "Just a warning, but having a young lad walk home at this time of night on his own is pretty irresponsible, don't you think?"

She nodded. "Deal."

"Goodnight, officer." Christopher snarled, closing the door in Koby's face.

"Can Duchess come home with us too?"

"Not tonight, she is still in a bit of pain, so we will need to keep her here tonight, but you can come and see her in the morning." She promised.

"How early?" He asked, getting to his feet and heading towards the door to head home

Jeni walked with him. "Nine am tomorrow." She told him.

"Can't you open earlier than that so I can see her?" He frowned, watching the pavement as he walked. "She's my only company really. Chris doesn't like to leave the flat."

"How about I pick you up on my way to work, say 8?" She asked. "You can come and see the other animals as well."

"Yeah. Yeah I'd like that." Isaac smiled.

Jeni smiled. "Great." As they got outside, she looked up at the sky and saw the makings of the full moon.

((is there a reason that this guy doesn't like going outside by the way?))

Isaac glanced over to her, tilting his head before following her gaze up to the sky. "There is meant to be a meteor shower tonight too."

((secret werewolf? Werewolf hunter? Either way it could bring some. Drama in with the full moon and the meteor shower especially with Issac))

"Just don't go outside tonight." She told him. "Watch it from inside where its warm?"

(( Him being a hunter sounds like a good idea, it would be interesting to see how that played out with everyone )))

"No, I'm going out to watch it. I found a good slot at the top of the hill this morning, next to all of those old cathedral ruins? I got a camera for christmas that is supposed to be good enough to have the stars show up in the photos."

"Okay, just take someone with you." She told him.

Isaac opened his mouth to reply though closed it again when he was pulled into the doorway of the block of apartments, Christopher's hand tightly clasped around his upper arm. "Hey!"

"We need to talk. In private. No running off this time." Christopher mumbled, loosening his grip on his brothers arm when he spotted Jeni. "Head up to the flat, Isaac. I'll be up there now."

"Sorry I just wanted to make sure he got home safely, it gets pretty weird on the streets after dark, some gang rivalry or something." She explained.

"You're the vet?"

She nodded. "Jennifer." She held her hand out as she said her name.

"He didn't get my dog killed today, did he?" Christopher asked, shaking her hand to be polite but not appearing overly happy with the physical contact with a stranger. "She has sentimental attatchments. I've only let him start taking her about with him the past two months."

"No she should make a good recovery, wi have a few scars, but I've kept her in the vets for now to keep control of the pain and ensure no infection sets." She told him. "Your little brother can come and visit from 8am tomorrow if that's alright, he was very worried."

"I'll be with him."
