"I'm trying to keep her safe from you! I took a hold of her wrist so she wouldn't run away from me!"

"And the demonic thing that went after her minutes before that?!"

"What thing?"

"One of your creations!"

"I can't even bring back a rat, what are you on about Apollo?!"

Delaney cringed, visibly shrinking down in the chair at the meer mention of the creature that had attacked her.

"What is going on? What are you all even talking about?" Dallas inquired with a slight tinge of confusion.

"Laney and I were walking when one of her things went after us, it was like The Grudge style creature. I killed it, then as Laney was walking home, Persephone grabbed her so I made her stop."

"It wasn't one of mine!"

"Whose was it then?!"

"And that's how Persephone got hurt," he muttered putting two and two together.

"It had... " Delaney shook her head slightly turning her focus on her food.

"It had what?" Persephone asked, raising an eyebrow at Delaney.

She wrinkled her nose not looking at her. "A mark on it."

"It wasn't mine. I can't even put a cattipullar soul in a rat yet alone demonic stuff. You want me to prove it to you?!"

"Don't shout at me, please... I'm only saying what I saw. I don't know everything about this stuff..." she whispered.

"Yeah but you know he is perfect even though you dont know him!" She snapped, motioning to Apollo before looking at Dallas: "And you! All of a sudden you two are going to look at cars together, a day ago you hated him!"

"Persephone you are embarrasing yourself."

"No one is perfect," Laney replied quietly.

"And living here hating each other is the best way to go right? If that's the case I may as well go back to my cousins"

"Then go! I never asked you here!" Persephone snapped at Dallas before getting to her feet and leaving the house. Slamming the front door closed behind herself.

Apollo tensed at the door slamming, eyes darkening with anger - but only for a moment before he hummed, "I have desert in the fridge, cheesecake - who wants some?"

Dallas sighed, running a hand through his hair.

Laney flinched at the door slamming just looking at Apollo quietly.

"It's chocolate orange... The cheesecake." Apollo hummed.

(( Wanna skip a few months? Dallas and Laney could play in Apollo's hands a little bit. Persephone could go missing, end up in hospital because of something Apollo done? ))

Delaney perked up a touch, that particular being different but also her absolute favorite.

Six months later...

At this point, no one had heard from Persephone in about three months, though, Apollo didn't seem very bothered by this. Instead he was in the car garage, crouched down by the passengers side door of a classic car and repainting it.

Delaney was sat on a chair off to the side of the garage, almost always wherever Apollo was. She had a notebook on her lap in which she was writing in again.

Dallas strayed off on his own at times, still looking for Persephone when he could, asking anyone around they had seen her.

"You've definetly gotten rid of that writers block," Apollo mused, pausing to get himself a drink of water. "What is this piece about again?"

"What does she look like?" A man in his late 20s asked in response when Dallas had asked him.

She smiled setting down the pen. "It's about time too. It's about a young kid who keeps getting into trouble for things he didn't do... everything thinks he's crazy and lying because he claims his shadow is the one responsible."

Dallas gave a full detailed discretion of Persephone.

"Ah, thats interesting." Apollo hummed with a bright grin. "Can I read what you've got so far?"

"Check the hospital," He adviced, "I read an article about a car totalling on the highway a while back, sounds like your girl."

Dallas cringed at this. "I will, thanks." Hopefully it wasn't her but nonetheless he headed towards the hospital.

She nodded. "I'd like it if you did. I could use some real honest feedback."

"Honest? I can do honest. I'll give it a look over tonight, after dinner?"

When he arrived, a doctor would of led him through the winding halls to the intensive care unit. "She came in about a month and a half a go, it was a collision between a taxi she was in and a old classic car. The taxi driver died on impact, the other car was fine but our Jane Doe, she had significant injuries. They have mostly healed up now, but she still hasnt woken up, and she cant breath on her own yet either- we have done scans and are keeping an eye on her brain activity. Hopefully you know her, otherwise they are pulling the plug this evening."

She smiled. "That would be great. Thanks, Apollo."

He listened to this doctor speak, the situation bringing up questions already. "An old classic car? How was that car fine? Were they caught?"

"I don't know, unfortunately." The doctor answered, opening the door to the room where Persephone lay on the bed.

Apollo just smiled.

"How's the work on the car going?"

Dallas froze in the doorway, his gaze focused on Persephone laying there.

"So, do you know our Jane Doe?" The doctor asked quietly, adding quietly. "You can go in, its okay."

"Good, I don't know what animal to paint on it though. What do you think?"
