"Tell me about your horse?" Gwen asked quietly

Emily nodded, letting out a small yelp as just as she stepped outside her brother grabbed her wrist and forced her to walk up the hallway at quite a pace. "Hey, stop it."

"I thought you had things to do, and you are in the kitchen wasting time away? I can only cover for you so many times Emily. I secured a deal today for those flowers you should never of planted that many of to go to Spain along with some food. I am putting my hide on the line so they don't notice your mess ups.,"

"I'm not asking you to. "

Joshua had gone back to cooking and finishing the food when she had left, so he didn't immediately notice what was going on but he heard yet kept his mouth shut.

"He's a three year old stallion, tall and made of muscle." He told her. "He's won many races in his short life, and plan to win more."

"With you as his rider?"

"I do not get much of a choice in that matter. This is our home, and if one of us begins to drag our feet we will be sentenced to a life on the streets. So stop chatting, and go back to the gardens to tend to those flowers."

"You don't get to talk to me like this anymore, I'm not a child." Emily muttered, before pulling her wrist free of his grip and walking away.

He nodded.

Joshua listened as he worked.

"I quite enjoy watching the horses run. Perhaps I have seen you and not known it were you."

"Maybe."

"What do you enjoy about racing?"

"The thrill mainly." He told her.

"Is that why you became a guard too, for the thrill?'

"Pretty much."

"I bet your disappointed so far," Gwen laughed then. "There isn't much thrill around here, there hasn't been for awhile."

"Nah, it's not too bad here."

"You needn't lie just because of who I am, you can be honest. Its fine to say if you are finding it dull."

"I speak the truth."

"Well then, I'd quite like to see the place as you do."

He smiled softly. "One day you will."

Gwen just offered him a doubtful smile, slowing to a stop once they got to the stables.

When he got to the stables, he waved in greeting to the stableboys before he walked over to a dark brown coloured stallion.

Gwen followed him inside, smiling warmly when her eyes fell upon the stallion. "What is his name?"

"Drago." Hayden told her.

"Well, hello there Drago." She hummed in greeting, lifting her hand up to smooth the stallions neck. "Aren't you beautiful."

"He has been restless, he wants to run," Aiden whispered as he approached, stopping just behind Hayden. Though giving him a questioning eyebrow raise when he was sure Gwen wasn't looking, looking between them.

Hayden nodded. "I'll be on my break shortly, I will take him for a ride then."

"Or perhaps you can accompany me on a ride now?" Gwen suggested, before looking at Aiden. "Get one of the Palace geldings ready for me."

"Yes ma'am." Aiden hummed, walking away

"If that is your wish your highness."

"Gwen, you can call me Gwen." She whispered, "And I would like it, but you may so no, if you like."
