The Secrets of Llawnech

"It would be an honour your hi- Gwen."

Aiden soon walked a white gelding over and tied it up beside Gwen, between the two of them so that he could whisper to Hayden. "You can tack your own horse up. You are walking on thin ice here, be careful, hm?"

"Wonderful." Gwen grinned, raising an eyebrow at a different stable hand whom came over and gave her a leg up onto the horse.

Hayden nodded and he tacked up his own horse.

Aiden wandered away then.

Gwen waited, quietly talking to the horse that she was riding.

Hayden guided his horse out of the stall and out of the stables, waiting for her outside as he got into the staddle.

Gwen encouraged her horse outside, making it trot around his as he got on before going ahead of him toward the forest trials.

He rode behind her.

"So, do I get to witness the speed of your stallion today or are you going to keep me in suspense? The fields this trial leads to is wonderful for galloping."

"Sounds like a good idea."

"Wonderful," She grinned.

He smiled slightly.

"Do your family ride too?"

"I don't have any family." He told her.

"Parents died when I was younger, I'm an only child."

"Oh, I'm sorry. That must of been hard for you."

"Not really."

"No? Oh well... that is fortunate." She answered with a grimace, unsure what the correct thing was to say.

"It is really, isn't it." He agreed.

Gwen nodded, whispering, "I'm sorry, I'm not the most adept at... conversation, I suppose which probably seems like an unusual thing to say."

"Don't worry about it." He told her. "Don't feel like you have to make conversation because of me your highness."

"Gwen," She corrected softly. "I want conversation, I want to get to know you."

"Then ask what you wish."

"Okay, what got you into riding to begin with?"

"My dad and I used to go out riding a lot." He told her. "He was Master of Horse in the kingdom Alicia's father ruled."
