Dmitri turned to face her then, wandering over and pulling his sleeve up to reveal the engraving on his wrist that appeared more like a tattoo to the regular eye - a symbol of complex patterns and shapes that connected him to thr ancestors - which meant he had passed the trial and became a Grand Warlock

"I have to prepare for this evening," Dmitri whispered, brushing his fingers through her hair. "I'm going to make a proper breakfast- bacon, eggs, all of the trimmings. You want some?"

Dmitri nodded, turning to focus on making food once again. Though, it didn't take long until he jumped back with a curse, so tired he had misjudged where to put his hand and burned himself on the oven.
