Magnolia clapped her hands together excitedly.

"I might even have a tiara that will fit you."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah!"

She laughed softly, carrying her through the castle.

"I've never been in a castle before..."

"Would you like a tour?"

"Like I said won't do that again."

"Yes, yes!"

Iliana laughed softly. "Alright. You must promise me that you will never run off though when you're inside the castle. Also stay right where I am, okay? I wouldn't want you to get lost or hurt."

So far a month had past since the men went off to fight, Alicia had taken charge of the country as she and Leo had planned and so far she was fine, her people respected her and listened and the country kept running smoothly. Right now, she was sat with her sister and her family, they had even invited Emma and Jackson to their lunch.

Jackson sat at the table, keeping quiet, his head down, he had tried to go with the men to war after Leo and Alicia had found out who he was but had respected his mother's wishes and stayed home.

Emma was sat beside Jackson, shifting her weight uncomfortably in the chair - not having wanted to go to the meal and not feeling like she belonged but Jackson had managed to convince her.

Rose was already digging into food.

"We should be getting a letter off of them soon, right?" Gwen mused gently. "I look forward to that."

"Why would I get hurt?" Magnolia asked with a frown

"We should, Leo said that he would send word at least once a month." Alicia told her as they ate and she looked to Emma and Jackson. "You two can eat you know." She told him.

"We know your highness, we just aren't hungry." Jackson told her.

"None of that your highness stuff," Gwen hummed, "We have told both of you plenty of times that there is no need for formalities like that."

"It isn't that the food doesn't look good," Emma whispered. "I have already had breakfast today thats all."

"It is dinner now though," Rose pointed out.

"I normally only eat once a day."

Alicia nodded. "If you don;t want to be here, be honest." She told them. "I know this is new and daunting, so if you're overwhelmed or would rather be somewhere more comfortable for yourself then you can tell us, we won't be offended."

Jackson nodded. "May we leave?" Jackson asked.

"You may."

"Enjoy the rest of your evening," Gwen hummed.

"Thank you," Emma whispered, getting to her feet and leaving the room.

Jackson got up with her and he bowed hos head to the royals and he followed Emma.

Gwen just sighed once Jackson had left the room, whispering, "I never thought it would be this hard."

"It's alright," Alicia told her. "He's been with her without us for years, it's going to take longer."

"It'd just be nice to hug him, thats all. It feels even worse having him in reach."

"Before we all worked it out he would talk to us more," Rose mused, "He avoids me now."

"We don't know what his life was like there, maybe this is what he is used to from family, how he's acting could be him acting how he would because of how he ended up being brought up." ALicia suggested. "That and he's trying to keep his friendship with Emma."
