A few weeks later, Jackson was throwing a party in his castle, marking the end of the restoration of the castle and the village. He had invited people from all over the world, even his aunt and uncle, sister and Marcus and his parents. Right now he was in his rooms getting ready.

"We knew you'd end up coming back here," Rose mused as she sipped at a glass of champagne, using Marcus' wheelchair to lean again - trusting in his brakes far too much as she looked Emma over. "Your looking well though."

"It was never my intention, it just kind of... happened."

Gwen wasn't in the room with the rest of the guests, instead she had made her way out to the ground. Crouched down near a bush with purple and blue flowers. The spot Rose and Jackson's siblings had been buried upon their death.

Hayden watched her from the doorway, giving her some time and space to grieve.

Marcus looked up to her and he smiled softly. "I told you." He smiled softly at Emma. "You need him and he needs you, you two are meant to be."

Jackson walked down to the party and he sighed to himself as he watched his courtiers all bow to him as he was announced to the room.

"I don't know, but... even if that wasn't the case I would end up stuck here. It turns out my father managed to survive the fire, the food going around is all made by him." Emma whispered, glancing over her shoulder when she heard the accountant, smiling sadly as she watched Jackson.

"There's the baby brother," Rose grinned, making her way through the crowds: unapologetically breaking all protocols so she could tug Jackson into a hug. "I've missed you."

Gwen glanced over her shoulder after a few minutes to look at him, motioning with her head that he could come over if he wanted.

Hayden walked over with her and he knelt beside her.

"Typical, no princess ettiquete at all." Marcus rolled his eyes playfully at Rose. "You okay Emma?" He had noticed the sad look on her face when she saw Jackson who had swung his sister around.

Gwen took his hand gently, leaning into him.

"Fine," Emma nodded, "He just isn't feeling up to this today, I can tell by the way he walked in."

"Maybe not, but this is royal life, I'm sure a visit from you would be just what he needs." He suggested as he watched Jackson sit in his throne.

He held her close.

"He is a bit pre-occupued with your fiancè right now," She laughed quietly, grinning in amusement as Rose pulled up a seat beside his throne and told him every detail of what had happened at the palace since he had gone. "Could you imagine the disasters to happen if she were the next one in line to the throne?"

He laughed. "She still can be, her cousin might not want to take the throne." He shrugged. "You know he has sworn not to marry or take a queen." He told her. "He wouldn't let you take the burden."

"I honestly doubt that'll happen, I think everyone is safe from the idea of a Queen Rose." Emma hummed, before nodding in response to what he said about Jackson, "Yeah, I know."

"Don't worry many Kings have done this, but between us, I think you'd make a good queen."

Jackson spoke to Rose as they wrre introduced to the other royals.

"I'm not worried, don't assume."

Rose gave a small curtsey to the other royals before walking away, wanting to enjoy herself rather than get involved in politics so making a swift exit.

Jackson chuckled softly as he watched her go.

"You look slightly worried." He told her.

"I am fine, wow I'd forgotten how iritating you were."

"Oh yeah, never forget how iritating he is. His face looks innocent but it is all a lie." Rose mused.

"And I guess I should leave if this is the reaction I'm getting." He told them bowing his head to Emma. "Ma'am." before he wheeled himself. Away
