“Where’s Faye and Chris? I’ve missed them…” Theo asked as he took the drink from her, taking a small sip and making a grateful noise.

“You can talk to me, you know that don’t you?”

“Hey, you look just as tired as I feel.” Mila greeted as Louis walked into her room. “Cain’s gone for a walk I think, wasn’t here when I woke up a few minutes ago. I hope he’s gone for a walk anyway, needs to stretch his legs.”

"Chris has football training, Faye has taken to helping to look after Wren's horses whilst she is ill. They'll be home by dinner time I'm sure." Marlowe hummed, grinning at his response to the hot chocolate. "I don't know how you coped so long in university without my hot chocolates."

"I'm just... disappointed, I guess." Tesni whispered. "It was my wedding... and I know it's selfish to be sad about it when people got hurt, when everyone is dealing with so much bigger problems but I can't help it."

"Hopefully he won't be long. Wren is up, and wants to see him."

“They have hot chocolate powder in England, Mom.” Theo laughed.

“I am worried about him.” Mila confessed quietly. “He was just about holding on with me being sick but then Wren as well… he’s not been okay the last few weeks. I wake up and I can tell he’s not slept all night. He kinda just… sits and stares sometimes and I don’t even think he knows he’s doing it? He just… does it until I snap him out. And between not sleeping and being with me and sitting with Wren I know he must be exhausted.”

“I’ll find some way to make it up to you.”

“I’m fine with anything mom, honestly.”

"The whole family is going through a lot right now," Louis sighed, leaning back against the wall. "Tesni hasn't been herself either, and Logan is worse now then he was when he first came to us. It's just going to take time for everyone to heal, but they will - especially now Wren is awake."

"You don't have to. Once - once things calm down, Tobi and I are going to take the kids on holiday. Get away, pretend nothing bad ever happened."

Marlowe sighed softly.
