She said nothing, dropping down beside him to catch her breath.

Rylee beamed at him, flinging herself at him like she never had before, throwing her arms around his neck. "Yes!"

Max caught her easily enough holding her to him. “Thank god.”

"Half an hour break, then you go again."

"We're going to get married!"

Sophia nodded a few times, laying back on the ground and folding her arms under head her. "I told you it's been awhile since I've ran.."

"I'm not judging you, it's the point of this - the point of training. It'll give you and fighting chance against them."

She nodded. "I know. I was just being honest. This isn't going to be easy, none of it is."

"It'll keep your mind off other things, at least."

"I can use the distraction."

"Mm. Did you sleep well last night?"

"Kinda." She wasn't about to tell him how she cried in her sleep and whenever she woke up she had been crying.

"Kinda? Don't be so elusive."

"I don't think you really want to hear about how I woke up crying.."

He smiled sliding the ring onto her finger

"If I ask you how you are then yes, I want to know how you are. Drop the attitude."

"I'm not giving you an attitude."

She smiled, looking down at the ring. "It's beautiful."

"It is attitude, Sophia." Elliot reprimanded. "I asked you a simple question and you have been sarcastic. I have no energy for it, you done this yesterday too."

Sophia kept her mouth shut not wanting to argue with him and choose to stare at the water instead.

Elliot rolled his eyes.

Getting to her feet, she took off jogging again not wanting to just sit there.

Elliot sighed.

She quickly picked up the pace, shifting into her wolf for several strides and then back again. Over and over this was repeated at random intervals.

He smiled softly. “It’s not much but I hoped you’d like it.”

"Not much? I love it!" She giggled, hugging him tightly. "It's perfect."

He smiled hugging her tightly. “I’m glad you like it.”

"I do, thank you."
