Creatures of the Dark

A few days later after some proper healing, Damian had managed to make his way to Alessias dads house and he was stood at the gates to the house waiting to be let in. He had called her often, after texting first to make sure that she was okay with it.

Meanwhile her father was walking down towards the gates to see to Damian and tell him to leave.

She was only a few steps behind him, a slower pace, relaxed.

“You have a nerve showing up here.” He told him. “Why can’t you just leave her alone?”

Damian looked to him. “Because I love her, and she’s carrying my child.” He reminded him.

“You’re just an experiment, you don’t know anything about love,” her father told him. “Now leave her alone, you and your friends are always upsetting her.”

“If she tells me to go then I will.”

"You assured me anyone I wanted would be welcome if I told you, and I have told you he is." Alessia interupted as she walked, slipping her arms around Damian to pull him into a hug. "Hi."

He hugged her tightly. “Hi yourself.”

“I don’t like this Alessia.” Her father reminded her but he left them to it, walking back into the house

"He's a protective bastard, hm?"

“He has every right to be.” He told her. “I know I messed up, but I do truly love you, both of you.” He gently rested a hand on her stomach

"Mmm, I know you do."

He kissed her head gently.

"It may be in the past now but it wasn't then," he replied gently.

“I know.” She sighed

"We don't know what will happen if we decide to have another baby. We never know what's going to happen around here."

“I know and part of me wants another baby, you know that I’ve always wanted more than one kid but I’m scared.” She told him. “I’m scared to lose you, or for something to go wrong so that I lose our baby or to even lose my own life.”

"Are you going to come inside?"

"Am I allowed?" He asked her playfully, eying her father suspiciously.

"Of course, just.. ignore him. He won't be as mean to you as your father is to me." She scoffed.

“Yeah wish you had seen it when i let it all slip to my mother, he wished he’ll would swallow him up.”

He held her close. "This is what we need to talk though, we don't know what may have. Nothing might happen, everything could be okay this time around."

"And if it isn;t?"

"Then we'll work through it like we always do." He looked at her. "We don't have to have more children."

She looked away from him busying herself with tidying up the bathroom. "That's the problem though, will she be happy being an only child? Were you?" She asked him. "I know I wasn't." Alice had her brother, but for the majority of her life she was alone as her parents focussed on Mathew more.

"She's not entirely alone. There's a house full of people here and likely to be more children all of the time." Frankie took hold of her hands. "My life before being here was different, you know that. It was nothing at all like this.. being an only child didn't bother me."

"Ad now?" She asked him, her hands in his. "One day we won't be here with her, she'll have no family of her own to teach her," She told him, it became apparent that ALice's biggest fear was for their daughter to be alone in the world.

"That's what we're here for. To teach her, to love her. We have time, Alice. Just because she asked for a sibling doesn't mean we have to give her one right away."

"Likelihood of nothing going wrong until she is grown is highly unlikely." She reminded him.
