"Can't your brother do something to help?"

"What, and let him have a brain haemorrhage or heart attack? He has less chance of survival than Caden already because of his ability. That healer is flying in for Sienna, aren't they? They can help if he hasn't died by then."

Drew just nodded and glanced towards Sienna.

Sienna seemed in shock, just staring at the floor. Her leg was jogging violently, an action she didn't really seem to be aware of.

"Sienna," Drew said calmly, trying to get her attention.

Sienna barely glanced at him before turning to face the floor again.

"Smack the back of her head or something, that normally gets her attention."

"I'm not hitting her," Drew shook his head, "I don't hit girls." he mumbled afterwards.

"I'll do it then." Rion walked to Sienna where she was sat, cuffing the back of her head. She flinched, lifting her arm automatically to smack at his wrist, instantly wincing in pain and cradling the hand she'd hit him with against her front, muttering angrily, "The hell was that for?"

"You were going into shock. Smacked you out of it."

"I think I'm allowed to, considering the fucking awful news you gave me."

Drew rolling his eyes, wincing slightly when he hit Sienna.

"Don't you dare mope any more Sienna."

"Why don't you let your brother get hit by a fucking car because of an errand you asked out of him."

Rion gave a short laugh. "Don't you be an idiot and blame yourself. Do you even realise how stupid that is of you?"

"If you keep telling her to repress her feelings then she'll end up with PTSD. Just a warning."

"She hasn't gone through any trauma. She won't develop anything like that. She might become neurotic, but that's not really going to change much about her."

"I already suffer through PTSD anyway." Sienna shrugged and then muttered under her breath where Rion couldn't hear, "Because of your face."

Drew snickered a little at her comment. "If he dies she could end up with serious guilt issues."

"She wasn't driving the car. She didn't tell the person in the car to hit Caden. How on earth would she know he would get into an accident by her asking a favour from him? It's stupid to feel guilt."

Sienna twitched, moving back to stare at the floor again.

"Just 'cause you think it's stupid doesn't mean it isn't going to happen."

"If she starts feeling guilty, I'm never going to let her live it down."

"Why don't you stop being an ass and piss off? You being here isn't making anything better."

Rion shrugged. "Least I had to decency to tell her. He coulda died in hospital and she'd've wondered why her brother never came back." He walked to the door.

"Model fucking citizen." Drew muttered, "I'm sure we could all use a lesson on decency from you."

"Thank you very much," Rion replied sarcastically before slamming the door shut behind him.

"Ass." Drew said after him, despite the fact he wouldn't hear the comment.

"Doesn't matter what he says or does. I acknowledge it as my fault if he dies." Sienna let her leg start jogging again. She was still cradling her hand in front of her, hunched almost protectively over it.

"It wont be your fault, but I understand why you might feel that way." Drew sighed, then held his arms out to her, inviting her for a hug if she wanted one.

Sienna scooted along the bed until she could lay herself across his lap, sighing quietly.

"I'm sure everything's going to be fine," He murmured, gently running a hand through her head.
