Klaus let his head rest on hers and whispered, "It's not your fault, Tatia, don't blame yourself. Vanessa's blaming anyone she can."

"It is my fault, I was the one who suggested leaving her behind. If she had come with us then none of this would've happened." Tatia replied quietly as she curled up as much as she could into him, making a defeated sounding noise when she could no longer get her knees to her chest. "Im not surprised she hates me."

"She's a kid, Tatia. She's blaming whoever she can." Klaus replied bluntly, "Don't give it a second thought, Tatia, she doesn't hate you, don't be stupid."

At hearing his tone Tatia just fell silent, not wanting to argue over it. She simply shifted down to rest her head in his lap.

Klaus watched the TV quietly with a small sigh.

Tatia son fell into a light sleep as she lay on him. Completly exhausted from staying up all night watching Vanessa, and then being a little extra tired because she was pregnant too.

Klaus just watched t.v quietly, every so often brushing his fingers through her hair.

Tatia woke a few hours later, stretching gently as she looked around.

"Sleep well?" Klaus asked quietly, glancing to her.

"Not really," Tatia admitted. "I feel sick as a dog,"

Klaus just sighed at that.

Tatia frowned little at his sigh, lifting her hand to cup his face. "What's wrong love?"

"Nothing,"

Tatia frowned at that, "There must be something, is it because I said I felt sick?"

"I said nothing, Tat." Klaus replied quietly.

"People don't sigh without reason, Nik."

"Stop nagging."

Tatia scoffed a little at that, muttering something as she pushed herself off of him an headed into the kitchen to get a bloodbag.

Klaus watched her go.

Tatia pulled a bloodbag out at frowned at it, before shrugging and deciding that whatever she thought was off about it was simply her imagination playing up, and she ripped the top off and drank from it, within seconds she dropped to the floor; barely conscious and dropped the bloodbag, which was laced with vervain down too.

Klaus heard her drop and frowned deeply, getting to his feet and walking into the kitchen. Soon being crouched down at her side, "Tat,"

"Vervain in the bag," she rasped out as she weakly gestured towards the now leaking bloodbag. "Kol brought them in this morning, must be contaminated." she got out with a groan of pain as she coughed. Had Klaus tasted the blood, he would've noticed that there was enough vervain in the bag to kill a normal vampire, so whomever had spiked the bag knew where it was going.

"This has The Five written all over it," Klaus grumbled with a sigh, picking Tatia up and bringing her up the stairs. Asking her, "Do you know where Kol is, anyway? Should probably warn him about the bloodbags."

Tatia shook her head weakly to show she didn't know. She then started panicking as she asked, "Nik can you still hear the baby's heartbeat?"

Klaus frowned and lowered his head to listen.
