Nate smiled, putting his phone back into his pocket.

Astrid hugged her back, shaking her head and whispering, "No, there's nothing. Thanks for coming over."

"Love you too…"

"I hope so." He looked at her. "How about tomorrow, we go and look at some places for the wedding and then I treat you to dinner." He asked her as he moved some of her hair behind her ear.

"I'll come round again soon, I promise." Tatia nodded, before getting up and leaving, heading home and soon entering the house quietly.

Falin smiled and nodded, "That sounds nice,"

Astrid nodded and watched her go.

"Speak to Ness, hear her latest plan." Klaus told Tatia when she came in.

"You had best go to bed then."

Tatia frowned deeply at that, turning to head up the stairs before stopping when she saw Vanessa come down with her case. "I'm off back to Hawaii, to get his family to come over here so he can be here with me too." Vanessa said simply, and shook her head when Tatia started to protest. "Don't think about changing my mind, I'll be safe, and I won't be gone long." she briefly gave her mother, then her father a hug, before heading out to the airport.

Tatia stared wide-eyed after her. "What the hell?" she asked, jaw dropping slightly. "What's with the sudden change of mind in her?"

Klaus just let out a deep sigh, shrugging and whispering quietly, "I don't know, I don't like it. I don't trust that boy to keep her safe, at all."

She nodded, "You too,"

"I'll be up in a sec, just going to get some blood, do you want some?"

"I'll pass, see you up there." She replied before heading up the stairs.

"Maybe in a week or two we should go check up on her?" Tatia suggested, "We phone her everyday to make sure she's not okay, and if we can't speak to her for a couple of days then we go and find her?"

The next day, around noon, Vanessa walked into the restaurant Nate owned, during his working hours, hoping to surprise him there. She looked around cautiously and kept her head down when she saw members of the pack, hoping Nate would see her first before she was noticed.

"Alright then." True to his word, he came up to their room after a few minutes and he put his small glass of blood on the bedside table.

"I don't want you going to Hawaii, Tat," Klaus sighed with a shake of his head, "I don't see why Ness trusts that boy after what he caused."

After a few minutes, Nate hooked an arm around her waist from behind and pressed his lips to her neck softly, "Hello angel,"

Falin was already fast asleep.

He slid into bed beside her and he kissed her forehead, before he turned the light out and lay awake just watching the ceiling.

((gotta go))

Vanessa gasped softly in surprise, before grinning and leaning back into him. "Surprise!" she whispered, before turning round in his arms and hugging him tightly.

"I'm coming with you this time." Tatia deadpanned, before sighing as she sat down next to him. "She's in love, and she has the chance to save it.  She's stubborn... And maybe we're wrong and he treats her like a princess from now on."

"I doubt we're wrong, she was a state, Tat. Bruised, everything, that was because of him. I don't like him, at all,"

Nate grinned and hugged her back, "How're you doing, angel?"

Falin slept peacefully.

"Better now I'm with you." Vanessa smiled, kissing his cheek, before whispering. "I'm safe here, right?"

Tatia sighed deeply. "We have to give her a chance." she whispered, "Give it a few weeks, mm?"

"Of course," Nate nodded.

Klaus didn't say a word in response, not wanting to argue about it.

Tatia just leaned over and kissed his cheek softly. "I know you're worried, and we'll get there before anything bad happens to her, if need be, don't worry."

Vanessa grinned at that, "Well then I'm all yours." she whispered.

Nate smiled, whispering, "Let me just sign off my shift, hmm? Then we can go out and grab something to eat, my treat."

Klaus sighed deeply.

Vanessa nodded, squeezing him a little before moving back to let him go.

Tatia snuggled against him and took hold of his hands in hers in an attempt to comfort him.

Nate headed into one of the side doors that led into the kitchen to sign off for the day.

Klaus kissed the top of her head gently.

"You're a brilliant dad, Nik. You know that?" she hummed quietly. "The best I've ever known."

Vanessa leaned against the wall as she waited for him. A little more confidant now she had Nate's word she was protected, though she still kept her head ducked a little in case anyone were to spot her now he wasn't around.

Klaus just laughed a bit and shook his head in the negative, "I doubt it, I could be better, much much better."

After about three minutes, Nate slid an arm around her waist and kissed her cheek gently.

"No, you couldn't be really." Tatia shook her head at that. "You love all of them, you do what you can to keep them all happy, you dote on them all equally... you're perfect. Same to being a husband, you're perfect at that too."

Vanessa jumped a little at the contact, before leaning into him happily when she realised who it was.

"Why so jumpy, angel?" Nate asked with a sigh, "Don't you trust my word?"

"You're creeping," Klaus mused with a quiet laugh.
