Rome laughed quietly. "You sure about that?"


He didn't say a word just staring off towards the TV but not exactly seeing it.

Jessica moved her gaze to look at him and raised an eyebrow in question.

Aleshia sighed and shook her head, continuing to watch what was on the T.V, though as time went on she progressively got closer to him until, once again, she was curled into his side, her head resting on his lap.

Nate didn't move all that much only enough to rest an arm over her to show he knew she was there.


"What? If you can do what you can maybe there's others that can do other things."

"Can you do anything?" She asked, hesitantly.

Aleshia brushed small circles against his knee soothingly.

((Gah I don't know...what do you reckon he should be?))


Nate flinched slightly before he realized what she was doing.

She frowned deeply, stopping when he flinched and asking gently, "You okay? Did that hurt?"

Nate laid a hand over hers. "No nothing really hurts me anymore."

"Really? What?"

"Why did you flinch like that then?"

"It's just still kinda different I guess..."

"What do you mean?"

((Should he actually 'be' something or just be able to 'do' something like she can? I kinda can't decide. Lol))

"Actually being closer to someone cause I want to be... other then Gabe..."

"It's not a bad this Shia...just, well I'm not used to it really"

"I'm a Greywaren," Jessica laughed, "I don't think I can really disbelieve in much," she pointed out quietly, "Tell me, show me.."

She just nodded

Rome sighed reaching out and laying a hand on her cheek. "It'd be cool to show you but I can't in here... Once I get out I'll show you okay?"


He fell silent then.

She frowned deeply, hesitating before nodding subtly in response to that, "Okay,"

Rome brushed his thumb against her cheek.

Jessica leant towards his touch.

He placed a light kiss to the side of her head.

A few days later Rome was sat on the edge of the hospital bed listening to his doctor while he signed several release forms.

Jessica was sat beside him, listening in silence.

When the doctor had left Rome got to his feet and held a hand out to her. "Ready?"
