She ducked her head to press her lips to his gently before shoving the tablet into her mouth and swallowing. Within seconds she slumped against him, limp.

"I need to get beaten half to death more often, if this is how I get treated afterwards." Aleshia whispered with a weak laugh.

Nate let out a low growl his arms tightening around her. "And I might just kill people if you get hurt again."

He watched her curiously holding her gently in his arms.

Jessica's pulse, within seconds, came to an abrupt stop.

(( Gotta go for a few hours - going to the cinema…. At a weird time of night - I'll probably fall asleep during the film haha ))

His eyes were dark and he had balled his hands into fists as e looked at her angrily. "They deserve to pay for what they did to you!"

She leant up, pressing her lips to his in a deep kiss to try and distract him.

Jessica sat up with a start a few minutes later, breathing rapid as her eyes flew open. Though in her hands, was a teddy identical to the one in the picture.

"Jess!" He exclaimed in surprise hugging her to him and kissing her head his eyes wandering over her after a moment landing on the stuffed tiger. "Is that?..."

Even though he kissed her back it was clear he wasn't completely calm.

"I told you I could take things from y dreams," Jessica gasped as she tried to control her breathing again, leaning heavily back into him for a few moments before, with a trembling had, she handed him the tiger.

She deepened the kiss, running her fingertips up and down the back of his neck.

Nate made a contented noise gently pulling her close.

Not sure what to say he held her to him until she calmed down just staring at the tiger silently.

When she finally calmed, Jessica went silent and simply watched him.

She just brushed her fingers through his hair, smoothing it back affectionately and offering him a small smile.

Jessica laughed weakly, "I don't know how, I've just… always been able to do it."

"It would of been easy for someone to save you…" She whispered quietly as she studied him, "You're a sweetheart deep down,"

He nodded slowly.

She grabbed the packet of potato chips and began to eat them, moving her gaze to the TV to watch the film.

He moved over to the other corner of the couch where he slumped down into it laying his head back and closing his eyes.

"Life is weird sometimes. Doesn't make you any different, you could've said something like you're a vampire or a werewolf or something" he laughed ruffling her hair.
