Hope sighed and watched him go.

Kol just grumbled quietly.

"I don't know what made it happen, but Zosia walked ahead and Cole didn't follow. Cole didn't come back until the early hours of the next morning, terrified. They haven't really spoken since."

"According to Adam it went well with you and Astrid…. What happened?"

"He's a big boy, why was he so terrified?"

"We hugged, talked. I apologised "

"Did she accept the apology?"

"He had a traumatic experience a while back, he's terrified of being outside alone now, especially in the dark." Adam whispered.

"I can't help if I don't know what happened..."

"I think so..."

Adam just let out a deep sigh and looked over his shoulder at Olivia.

"How're you feeling then?"

"We aren't the ones to tell you... Cole has to."

"Better."

"I don't appreciate being family gossip." Cole hissed as he entered the room and sat himself down beside his mother.

"You aren't-"

"Yes. Yes I am." Cole muttered.

"Good,"

"She doesn't know Cole." Olivia frowned.

"Mm..."

"And she isn't going to." Cole hissed. "I am not being family gossip, the only people I've choosen to tell really have been Zosia and grandpa Kol. Zosia harassed me into tell you and dad."

Adam frowned deeply.

Olivia just sighed deeply.

Cole just pulled his knees to his chest.

"You don't have to talk to me Cole, it's okay...." Tatia whispered.

"I'm not going to. They're talking about me like I'm a broken toy, when really I never liked alleyways before because they're filthy." Cole muttered.

Tatia just sighed.

"Really Zosia's just throwing a moody because her friend claims to like me and I've pouted out that she can't like me because she doesn't even know me."

"You can fancy someone based on a look and conversation."

"We haven't had a proper conversation." Cole replied with a roll of his eyes.

"You're so dificult sometimes Cole!" Olivia snapped. "A pretty, nice girl wants to talk to you! Live a little!"

"I did speak to her!" Cole snapped, turning his head to glare at her. "It's not my fault she got all attention seekt because I wasn't all over her. She joked about attacking me!"

"You've probably taken it the wrong way!"

"How is saying about attacking someone funny?! How is it a joke?!" Cole snapped, "Go and yell at dead people or something," he hissed before getting to his feet and storming out of the room.

"Not every person you meet is going to rape you Cole! You need to understand that!" Olivia hissed.

Cole just slammed his bedroom door closed so violently that it split up the middle.

"No! Don't 'ollie' me! It happened to me, it's happened to her - " Olivia gestured to Tatia. "It's happened to millions of people! I'm tired of coddling him!"
