"No, no, no. Come back." Cole groaned, "It's not you it's…. I don't have good experiences…. I- Come back, Darien,"

"I shouldn't have done it, I should've know you wouldn't like it, wouldn't react well to it, I'm so sorry."

"Forget it, get back in here so we can keep talking…" He sighed.

"I can't forget it, I'm your friend and I shouldn't make you feel like that." Dasha said before heading out the door.

Cole jerked his hand up to catch her wrist and the her back, "Stop. Sit back down... We need to keep talking. It doesn't matter, I'd react like that with anyone. I'm fucked up. Just…. Sit."

"I should've known it'd make you feel uncomfortable... Shouldn't have done it; shouldn't have listened to what my heart was telling me to do. Shouldn't have thought I was different. I'm so sorry Cole."

"It's not you." Cole insisted quietly. "That's - it's not that you're not different - it's that…" he let out a deep sigh, shaking his head a bit and mumbling, "I can't tell you. Just take my word for it, please?"

"I shouldn't have made you feel like that... Shouldn't put you through that.

"Through what? You just kissed my cheek which is a perfectly normal thing to do - it's my fault not yours, stop being silly." Cole huffed, "Now this job…. How likely is to you'll get the offer to do something like this again?"

"No it's not your fault, at all."

"Dasha. Drop it now."

"No! I can't Cole..."

"You can't what? Drop it the topic of conversation or take the job?!" He hissed. "For fuck sake, it isn't your fault I'm fucked up. It's just how I am, don't be so damn offended!"

Cole just tugged at his own hair in frustration, groaning quietly.

"I should go... You don't believe in any of that stuff so there's no point trying to explain it to you..."

"You could try," He grumbled with a deep sigh.

"I'm nothing." Cole muttered with a small sigh. "Don't be stupid , you can't like me like that. Better people in the world than me."

About 3/4s of the way through the movie, Sarai moved her head from where it was resting on top of Christian's. Having been silently holding him close, quietly she tilted her head to study his face - just to see how he was.

Christians eyes were closed, he'd nodded off earlier.

"You're not nothing. You're my best friend Cole. And I don't think there is anyone better."

Sarai reached over to grab the remote, switching the film off and rearranging the sofa cushions so there was a little bit more room. Slowly laying Christian down and laying down beside him so she wouldn't let go of him. Though she moved one arm to pull the soft throw on the back if the sofa over them both, kissing the top of his head and whispering, "Everything is going to be okay, you'll feel better soon. Sweet dreams, gorgeous."

Cole just rolled his eyes and shook his head in the negative.

"I should go..."

Christian just snored softly.

Sarai grabbed her mobile and flicked through the contact after a few minutes. Pausing on Lucas' name, then when she finally moved the phone off of that pausing on her mothers. Not doing anything for a few minutes as she debated who to text, who wouldn't mention her having to apologise to Mica before eventually texting her mother: Today was terrifying…. I wish you were here. I needed you.
