"I'm a freak." He mumbled.

"No, not at all."

"Yes I am. A laughing stock. It doesn't happen to guys, people pity you, laugh at you. I've googled it, looked for forums and stuff to learn how to cope and it's all woman and the men on their get crucified."

"It happened to you and you don't need to be ashamed to call yourself a freak. You are not. You are just someone who has been through something awful."

Cole just shook his head in the negative and curled in on himself.

"Everything's gonna be okay."

"Until you get sick of being nice to me too."

"Never, never"

"Zosia has. Mum has. Dad was never really sure how to react about any of it so just kind of sits there awkwardly or hums whenever it's brought up."

"They.... They don't quite understand. Not like I do."

"How can you be sure?" Cole mumbled.

"Because your mother regretted sleeping with someone. It's not the same as what we've been through. And your sister and father have no idea how we feel. How it makes us feel so horrible even though wee done nothing wrong."

Cole hesitated before nodded subtly in response to that. "Feels dirty..."

"It does. It feels like you're used goods the nobody will very look twice at - how could they? When you're a disgusting thing that needs to stay away from others." Tatia mumbled. "I know your pain, I know how it feels. The humiliation and the shame, the anger, the self blame. I sat in the bath and scrubbed myself until I wore my skin to the muscle once, your uncle Klaus had to physically restrain me. I just felt so disgusting and I needed to be clean."

Cole just nodded subtly in response to that, mumbling, "And no one gets it, not really. They're all sympathetic and things until they get bored of it and just expect you to move on and act like it never happened when you wake up screaming in a sweat, when being on your own in the dark is enough to give you a panic attack, when you take the route where you're no where near alleyways even if it means it takes an extra hour to walk home. How when you're on your own, in the dark and there is no way to get home without walking past an alleyway you'd rather be a trapped animal in a cage because it feels worse than that."

"It gets better honey, I promise you that it gets better. I'll never be fully recovered but with love and support you'll get better,"

"My immediate family have ran out of that already..."

"They love you.. They're just finding it hard that you won't tell them how you're feeling."

"They never ask. Just gossip about me behind my back."

"They don't, they're just worried... You can come live with me if you want to Cole."

"I've wanted to move back for ages, but Zosia treats me like a criminal whenever I bring it up."

"Come stay with us any time, we've downgraded house but we still have a spare room."

"Can I come back with you?"
