Hunters and the Hunted

Indigo followed, sitting on the bed and pressing her hand to her stomach.

"I am already being selfish for asking this of you, Jessica. The least I can do is make it enjoyable."

"We're getting married," Faye blurted, before she lost her nerve.

Tuesday had heard from Sirius but it still came as somewhat as a surprise and she abruptly turned to face Faye before smiling brightly. "Oh my goodness! Congratulations Faye!"

Cain laughed, brushing his fingers to her blush. "Honestly, how are you surprised?"

When they got to the house, Kai opened the door with his elbow and carried her to the living room, setting her down on the sofa and then kneeling next to her on the ground.

"Are you okay?" Jason asked, having already tugged boxers on. He wasn't going to get fully dressed until he tended to his wounds.

"Yeah. Just a... Twinge."

"There's room for two on here you know."

Scarlet shrugged. "I've never noticed the broken furniture."

Srius and Rosco exchanged a look, before they both smiled at each other.

She seemed to pause as if considering it for a few moments before she moved to kiss his lips.

"Bad twinge, or like a kick or twist?" Jason immediately froze, staring at her.

"I know. But if I'm here, I can see your face better." Kai folded his arms on the edge of the sofa, resting his chin on his arms as he watched her, adoration on his face.

"Probably because I'm the one to clean it up." Cain shrugged. "Either me or Ian."

---

Tuesday scrambled to get out of the bed and quickly gathered Faye into a tight hug, pressing her face to her daughter's hair. Faye was startled at first and then hugged her back with a quiet laugh.

Death kissed her back, moving to stand resting his hands on her waist as he murmured, "Let me take care of you, Jess. At least this once." His use of Jess as opposed to Jessica showed his seriousness.

"I don't know... Just felt odd."

"Was it a bad odd though? Did it hurt at all?"

"You could do that if you took me to bed instead."

"You still would have thought someone like me would have noticed." She mused. "Oh well, maybe you're just too good that it takes longer for me to recover."

Sirius smiled watching him.

Jess looked at him and she nodded her permission.

"Yeah. My ribs hurt."

"Is this because you're tired or you're expecting something?" Kai asked, voice soft and amused.

"I think it differs. It depends on how much I wind you up, or how much you wind me up to be honest."

"And you," Tuesday said to Rosco. "I know you're making her happy already, but if you hurt my baby girl, there's nowhere on earth you can hide from me."

"Mom!" Faye complained, stepping away, though she was smiling slightly, knowing that Tuesday was joking just a little.

Death lifted her carefully from the floor and lay her on the bed, at first just sitting next to her and brushing his hand to her cheek. "I'm sorry it came to this point, Jess. I wish the circumstances were better."

"Is that normal, or...? I've never been around someone pregnant before."

"Neither have I, I don't know, I haven't exactly been to see a midwife either."

"It's us, they couldn't have been better if we tried." She told him, she was trying to make him smile.

Rachel gave him her sweet and innocent look.

"And have I wound you up lately?"

Sirius laughed and he looked at Faye. "Doesn't your father get a hug?"

"Should we go and see one? We can tamper with her memories afterwards, or kill her..."

"I suppose that's true, unfortunately," Death sighed softly, tucking some of her hair behind her ear before he pulled off his shirt in a single move, physically flinching in pain at the move. His skin was black and flaking but he murmured some quiet words under his breath and his skin was suddenly clear and back to normal, to which he explained, "I will be using an illusion during the duration, in order to not alarm or disgust you."

"Not when you were in such pain earlier on Rachel. Better luck next time," Kai laughed quietly at her.

"Well, not in the last week or so."

---

Faye laughed quietly as well and crossed the room at near enough a run to almost tackle him, wrapping her arms around his middle and pressing her face to his shoulder.

Jess looked up at him. "I've seen worse." She leant up to press her lips to his.

She pouted at him.

Scarlet raised an eyebrow. "Then that is y challenge, bfore the week is out."

He held her daughter close. "I told you it would all work out." He told her quietly.

"No.., no."

"If that is an attempt to make me feel better, don't worry Jess. I know the implications of my actions." Death kissed her back softly. "Who convinced you to return? I did not expect to see you again before I passed on."

"Nope," Kai replied, popping the 'p'. "You can't change my mind by making that face."

Cain laughed. "Only if you want to. Don't force yourself love."

---

"Well, you know me," Faye mumbled into his shoulder. "Always a worrywart I am." She pulled away slightly, but didn't let go, so she could see his face and asked, smiling just a little, "Are you going to go all protective parent and threaten Rosco too?"

"What if I call Ian? He kept tabs on the family better than I did, he might know where the nearest neutral healer is to check you over...?"

"You sent Miriam after me, I'm a sucker for little kids." She told him, kissing him again.

She kept up her pout and she was making a slightly convincing arguement.

"How could I force myself into something like this?" She asked him. "After all, you know I like it when you're rough with me, it's pretty sexy."

"He already is, your father's mind powers are pretty impressive." Rosco told her.

"Already have, already am and I certainly will continue." Sirius promised her.

"Of course, I sent Theodore away so she had to care for the children..." Death murmured absently against her mouth before hooking his fingers under the hem of her shirt and tugging slightly, waiting for her to move so he could slide it off.

Kai just shook his head with a slight smile at her efforts. "Not happening, Rachel. We can wait until tomorrow, see if the pain comes back. If it doesn't, fine. But only then."

Cain shrugged. "I just don't want you to feel like you're catering to mine and Ian's needs."

---

Faye laughed quietly, pressing her face back to his shoulder and briefly squeezing him before stepping back to Rosco's side with a bright smile to Sirius and Tuesday.

She moved so he could take it off.

She raised an eyebrow. "That's if I feel like it tomorrow." She told him playfully.
________

"Hey, stop it." She told him. "I'm catering for mine too."
________

Sirius smiled watching them.

Death pulled her shirt gently off and set it neatly to the side of the bed before doing the same with her bra and then pressing his mouth to her shoulder, one hand coming up to rest on her chest.

"Either way, you won't change my mind. Not so soon after you've been in pain."

---

"I know that, but sometimes I don't, I suppose." Cain shrugged again.

---

"We're going to go and let some others know the happy news then, is that okay?" Faye asked, moving to take Rosco's hand.

"It's fine by me sweetie." Tuesday softly. "I'm happy for you, and proud, too. Don't forget that."

She gasped softly but it was in pleasure at his touch.

"Can I at least get a proper cuddle?"

Rosco nodded his thanks to Tuesday, in the way of her parents he didn't speak unless he had to, so he remained mostly silent.
________

Scarlet looked at him. "Whatever you do to me, I will find pleasure in it, be it breaking every bone I have or sex, you think your kind are primitive, it's nothing compared to the basic reactions of a dark angel."

"I wish I could have had the time to court you properly," Death murmured. "I really do." He gently brushed kisses down her front to her waist, pressing a final kiss to her hipbone.

"You can have a cuddle, yes." Kai moved to sit on the other end of the sofa, leaning back against the arm and then tugging her back so she was tucked against him with her back to his chest.

"Come on then." Faye smiled up at Rosco and tugged gently on his hand to lead him to the door.

"Oh, it looks like Faye has him wrapped around her little finger," Tuesday laughed softly.

"My primitive reactions are different to yours. I don't think they can be judged against one another."

"I'd as if you wanted to be sure, but I don't quite fancy going that far." Scarlet told him.

Sirius laughed. "Oh well, it's the same for me and Scareth, she has us both wrapped around her little finger, always has and always will."

Rosco went with her without areguement.
________

Rachel smiled in triumph of actually getting him onto the sofa with her, before she cuddled up to him. "I love you."
________

"Lets not worry about courting right now." She told him, through soft gasps of pleasure.

"Not particularly. I don't fancy testing my seals like that, and I'm pretty sure you're fond of keeping Ian around."

"Well, she is the youngest. You all treat her like a princess." Tuesday rolled her eyes before moving to drop back down onto the bed. "At least she doesn't act spoilt."

"Who should we see next?" Faye asked quietly, leaning into his side and looking up at him, equal parts excited and loving.

"I love you too, Rachel." Kai kissed the side of her head.

---

"I also wished we didn't have to rush this," Death added, moving to undo her jeans and tug them and her underwear down, dropping her clothes to the side and then he sat up, quietly taking in how she looked with a soft expression. "I will still treasure this time together, and I will still treasure you, Jessica."

"I'm fond of both of you."

"That is true." He told her, moving to lie with his head on her stomach.
______

"Who's closest?"
______

"I should hope so." She smiled.
______

She immediately felt self conscious when he sat up, and she looked at him. "You do know that this won't be as good as you've probably witnessed from others." She told him, now she was nervous and even scared as she looked at him, but she tried to hide it.
