He was still lying there in bed.

Damian kept a hand on his shoulder. “She couldn’t have given you an answer either way, she was too far gone.” He explained. “But now she won’t be, she’ll be able to listen and talk and think.” He assured him.

Not long after he pressed his forehead to hers did Belle start to breathe again, bringing a hand to rest on his cheek, her eyes still closed

"I can't say it again, I- I-" He stammered, it being clear that he was being truthful.

“You could tell her how you feel.” He suggested.

“Save me.” Belle whispered though her eyes didn’t open. “Do it, please.”

"Damian," Alessia warned lowly at his advice. "Though it is lovely to see how I am not the only one people like the gaslight. You just need to learn how to listen to people, otherwise you aren't helping, your making a person who already feels like shit ten times worse."

Elliott didn't need telling twice, his eyes turning to the honey colour and the bones in his face audibly breaking - shattering so that they could begin to reform enough to contain the teeth of a wolf which were soon sunk in to the fleshy space in Belle's collarbone.

“All because I’m right.” Damian told her, Elliot knew how he was he was straight to the point.

Belle was still to weak to fight him but she did have out a small squeak of pain at his bite.

"You're being a dick. You done something I next to begged you not to do just now aswell." Alessia shook her head, getting up and leaving the room without another word.

"Sorry.. sorry." Elliott grimaced as he moved back, turning his head away until his face returned to normal. Breathing erratic, still silently crying.

Belle this time opened her eyes and she had tears in hers too. “Elliot I have to tell you something.” She told him.

Damian followed her. “I didn’t do that.” He told her. “The soul I gave her was her own, I just pushed it back in, there was no guarantee that it would work which was why I didn’t suggest it.”

"What? What is it?" He murmured hoarsely, hands lifting up to rub at his face.

""Scaring me," Alessia mumbled, letting herself drop onto the sofa. Her back to him.

“I’m sorry I scared you.” He came and sat on the sofa next to her. “I’m sorry.”

“I love you.” She told him, wiping some of his tears with her hand that was on his cheek. “I love you so much and I never want to hear you cry like that again.”

"Don't die then." He whispered hoarsely, turning his head away. "Don't - Don't die and you won't."

"I don't understand why you bother asking me for my help if you don't listen? What's the point of that? Just makes me feel useless."

She looked up at him, silently watching him without a word.

“Didn’t plan this.” She told him.

“You calmed him down.” He reminded her

He looked to her.

"You weren't listening to me when I was trying to coam him down, you were riling him back up."

"Mm." He mumbled, walking to the other side of the room to try and calm himself.

"Sorry," she giggled quietly.

She watched him, she didn’t really know what to do with herself instead she tried to sit herself up and she managed to sit on the edge of the bed.

Damian shrugged not really sure what to say he knew an apology was t going to sort anything

Alessia let the silence lay, still not looking at him, just staring ahead at the wall. Eventually, and reluctantly, leaning back properly once more - patting the spot on the sofa beside her for him.

"Do you - do you have any questions?" Elliott asked eventually.

“Loads.” She told him. “You don’t look ready for them though.” She patted the bed beside her. “Join me?”

He sat with her

"No, we may aswell do it now. Or else it will bother you, it'll fill me with dread too not knowing what you'll ask or... or how you'll react to the answers." Elliott whispered as he slowly moved to lay beside her.

"You're such a dick." Alessia mumbled, not unkindly, as she curled into his side.

“Thought you knew that already.” He told her trying to be slightly playful. “Demons don’t have a filter,”

She looked to him. “I don’t know where to start.” She whispered as she thought about a questions “why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

"I didn't know how you would take it, how you would feel. I was... scared you'd run, scared you'd think I was a monster. If you didn't, I didn't want to open you up to all the danger that comes with knowing."

"I guess I was tired."

“Turns out I was in danger anyway.” She whispered. “So I’m one of you now?”

Elliott let out a slow breath, nodding.

"You were just a dick of a vampire when I met you, not a demon. It's like when you order something in the post and something else shows up."

“That’s a pretty stupid analogy you know.” He told her. “I’m not an Amazon package.”

She nodded going quiet. “Is that the only thing you hid from me?” She asked him. “I feel like I don’t know you at all Elliot, all this time we said no secrets and that’s a pretty big one.”

"It is the perfect analogy." She snorted her amusment, trying not to laugh then. "You are my amazon package, sent right the way from hell." '
