"Wrong?" Elliott whispered.

Alessia also wrinkled her nose in confusion.

“I can communicate with you just fine.” He told him. “I will teach you how to scry. It’s easy and anytime you need me we talk through that the same for you Alessia.”

"I won't need to scry to talk to you, I will be with you." Alessia whispered.

Elliott shook his head, "No. It isn't the same. Bullshit."

“All you have to do is tell me you need me and I’ll come back up.” Damian promised him. “And anyway I’m very interested in you and Belle.” He looked to Alessia. “Are you sure? You weren’t very keen on being down there last time.”

"It doesn't matter. We're family, I'm not being away from you." She whispered.

He looked to Alessia. “We are family,” he kissed her hand before he glanced at Elliot. “All of us.” He told him hoping he would get the meaning that he had always though of Elliot as his brother especially with everything they had gone through in the past few years

"Yeah." Elliott mumbled. "I uh - I should get back to Belle."

He nodded. “I’ll call you soon, okay?”

He waved him away, disappearing out of sight.

He watched him go before he took Alessia and himself back down

A few months later and Damian had settled into his new role with as much ease as he could muster. He was also trying to remain a good father to Rose and make sure that he was always there for her. It was exhausting but he was happy that Alessia had chosen to stay with him it made it easier. He kept regular contact with Elliot as he promised and he had even started to try and repair things with his mother. However as he sat in his fathers throne alone, with only his guards to accompany him, he found himself tracing the images carved into the throne, it was his fathers design, and as he thought about his father he could not help but wonder

"There are ancient whispers, Sir." A short, scrawny man with dull grey eyes but a strong, cutting jaw-line that almost made up for the rest of his, averageness, spoke. Pushing glasses up his nose as he flicked through a book, "That in the past, when great King's and Queens had died, they were brought back. Not in their original forms, not their original bodies but their souls."

“How was this done?” He asked him, moving his attention from the throne to the man. “They also say that doppelgängers are around the world.” He told him.

"The doppelgangers come into it, sacrifice two of them and the soul you wish to have returned will find a new host. Any host, of appropriate age, you'd have to find him then."

“Two doppelgängers, if I find three then we have the host.” He mused out loud.

"Perhaps. If there are three, if looks even matter."

“They would to him, you remember what my father was like always looking his best for my mother.” He mused before he got up off the throne. “Send out our three best trackers to find them, I’m off to visit my girls.” He told him as he aimed to leave the throne room

"Whatever you wish, Sir." He whispered, stepping to the side.

A few days later, Damian was sat in the throne room again but this time he was on the floor wit Rose as she played on a blanket. He always tried to make time for his daughter at least, especially whilst Alessia was out celebrating her birthday with her father. He was waiting to hear word from his trackers, he hadn't told his mother any of this yet, he was trying to make it a surprise. Elliot knew as did Alessia but that was it.

Meanwhile, up on normal land, Belle had been busy, redecorating, now that David was gone she had used her newfound energy and stamina to redo her whole house. The closer it got to the full moon the more energy she had and the less sleep she got. Right now, she was sat on the floor going through some instructions to put some furniture together.

"Only women read instructions." Elliott snorted his amusment, leant in the doorway as he watched her. "You waste all of your time doing it. You'd be done with the whole room by now if you just tried it."

"'Everything is set up, Sir." The man from a few days previous whispered as he stepped into the room. "We are ready to go."

SHe looked up at him throwing a pillow at him. "Only men who want to risk breaking things don't read the instructions." She told him playfully. "Why don't you stop griping and come and help? I'd be done in half of the time."

He nodded. "Keep then occupied until tonight, Alessia will be back by then, I'm not chancing leaving Rose on her after last time."

"I can care for the child, Sir. I am good with them, and, I believe we trust each other, don't we?"

"I have no interest in reading." Elliott chuckled, catching the pillow.
