"N- no. No its not." She stammered shakily. "It isn't- it isn't safe. If I- I got to where I feel s- safe you'll accuse me of - that was what yiu left me for."

He looked to her. “If you want to leave you have the ability too, I’ve not forced you to stay, I’ve never told you that you have to stay and why would I accuse you of something? We aren’t together, you’re free to live your life how you see fit.”

"You said taking a break last year, not together. Last year you told me it wasn't being raped that made you leave me, it was the fact I left for space. So I've stayed here, like - like the good little woman you want me to be an- and waited for you."

“Alessia, what I said was true, but we aren’t together.” He told her gently. “You didn’t have to stay.”

"I- Leave me alone please. Go away..."

“Asyou wish it.” He told her and he left her to it, walking down to the meeting hall for his meetings and when they were finished for the day he put himself into the training room.

(( I don't know what to put. Should we skip, say Alessia has gone to stay with her dad and they share custody with Rose? ))

A month later, Alessia stood in her father's kitchen - appearing more like herself then how she previously had been. Humming quietly as she stared at the egg in the frying pan, waiting for it to cook.

Rose was sat at the table colouring ina picture. "Mummy, why don't you ever come and visit daddy? I thought that you two were friends."

Damian meawhile was sitting through talks with the other lords, he had started to look into a marriage of alliance as his mother had suggested, merely to get her off his back about it. He had even invited his mother to the talks with him just so she knew he was taking it seriously, but his mind was obviously elsewhere.

"It wasn't long ago I saw him, sweetheart." She answered quietly. "We live different places, we are both busy. It isn't anything you need to worry about."

Seren sat a few seats away, listening.

Thorin sat with his wife as he watched his son he watched Damian he knew he was t happy about this situation but he was doing this for his people.

Damian was only part listening to the latest lord talk about how daughter in hopes to sway the king.

Rose pouted in thought. “Do you still love daddy?”

"I - I do, yes. Of course I do."

“Then why aren’t you together?” She asked. “And why doesn’t daddy see my baby brother?”

“Seren, are you sure this is a good idea?” Thorin asked her quietly

"All adult things sweetie, things your too little to know yet. I promise when you are old enough We'll answer all of those questions though."

"It is his duty as king. You know that, he can't preach to the world how wonderful of one he is and then refuse to do an important aspect of it." Seren snorted softly. "He has been giving too much chat back since he and Alessia parted ways."

“Seren don’t think like a queen, think like his mother,” Thorin requested. “Alessia’s mother beat him into submission and Alessia kept him there, the likelihood of him being happy is slim as it is, he doesn’t deserve this.”

Rose looked to her. “That’s not fair mummy, does daddy not love you?”

"He is King. It is the way it is, once upon a time you knew that aswell."

“And yet I married you because I fell in love with you.” Thorin reminded her. “What happened to the time you wanted that for our son?”

“I think he does.” She told her. “Uncle Elliot is picking me up today, we are going to the park and then to Miss Eris cake shop to see Auntie Belle.”

"Do not villainise me." She answered lowly. "He marries and then he no longer has to go out fighting. This is for his safety, Thorin. Your safety too, if the war comes close to here you are human now, you won't make it through."

“You truly believe that having him to marry will stop the war?” He asked her. “And as for me, I have my shield maiden of a wife to protect me, I cannot fall.” He told her sweetly kissing her cheek. “But I worry for him,”

Rose nodded and she looked at the time. “I need to get my shoes.”

"Yes, it is how politics works Thorin. Di not act so clueless."

“Can you just forget about politics, this isn’t just some random lord or king this is our son, what happened to my wife who loved her son so much she would kill for him?” He asked. “Because right now I’m not seeing her.”

She got down from the table and ran to get her shoes

"Politics means stopping a war which means stopping him from having to go to fight and possibly dying. You aren't seeing the bigger picture. I am tired of people fighting with me everytime I open my mouth." She hissed. "Have you noticed that that the only opinon that is ever right in this place are yours or Damians? Any woman with an opinon is wrong or villanised. It is pissing me off, the little bitch has left so you have both turned onto me."

"You seriously think that is what I'm trying to do?" He asked her. "Seren, I am merely trying to see where your head is at, I can't read it anymore so I' doing the human thing of talking." He told her.

"I have told you several times, you are criticising and arguing. Just let me do what is best for everyone Thorin, I am getting enough shit off of our son."
