Damian's eyes followed him as he left, before he gave a slight hand signal to his advisor who called for a break and when the lords left Damian seemed to relax into his throne.

"Can you two give me a sibling so that I can avoid all of this?" Damian asked her, it was hard to tell if he was serious or not. "If I knew that being king meant marrying someone that I don't even know, I might have rethought about taking it up." He told her quietly, as he toyed with the necklace of the king that hug around his neck.

"My Lord, there may be a way to banish your human side." The advisor told him. "After all, people would take you seriously if you weren't a half demon/human hybrid."

"That is not a bad thing, it is who you are. You do not change who you are Damian, not for these people. Not for people who would revolt and tewr your head from your neck if they so thought they could." Seren pushed to her feet, moving to sit on the chair beside his. "Your father never banished his emotions, he just learned how to hide them. There is no such thing as banishment of such things, it is a myth. Emotions make you rational, relatable. How you feel, makes you you. There is nothing wrong with it. What is the point of living if we do not feel?"

All my life so far, I've been chastised for saying and acting how I want or how I feel, be it by Lily, by Alessia, you or dad, I guess I just wonder what the point of it all is." He told her.

“I don’t know what would make me happy.” He told her honestly. “As king I can give Rose a life of riches of the best things, things that I didn’t have, as king I can look after you and my father as a son should.” He sighed. “There’s a lot on you as a king, but I know that I cannot be happy with a women who does not respect me or my daughter.”
