Thorin soon came to join her. “What happened?”

"I'm sure it'll take you only a few seconds to guess." Seren grimaced. "This time the little bitch seems to just be.. scared. Our son is finally fed up with her, however. I predict that by the end of the week the underworld will be without a Queen."

“Are you sure?” He asked, it wasn’t that he didn’t believe her but he knew just as she did that their sons heart was with Alessia no matter what. “I can’t say that I’m not slightly relieved about that, but I know that it will break our son.”

"Have you ever heard him doubt their future before?"

“Not until today.” He told her. “But I think it’s been on his mind for a while he’s just never voiced it.”

"I encouraged him to speak to her tomorrow, said we could handle everything here. I am sure he'll update us by tomorrow evening."

He nodded. “I’m sure everything will be fine.” He told her.

"Time will tell."

The next day as Damian promised he had managed to find where Alessia had gone and he went to try and talk to her. He found the house easily and he knocked before the door opened to let him in and he looked around for any signs of her his search leading him upstairs.

In the bedroom, Alessia would have been in bed with one of her guards, the same one that she had helped heal after the attack. They had been seeing each other for a while with him being her emotional crutch, but he had slowly wanted more taking it upon himself to ensure that she ‘felt the same way’ with the use of a light drug and one thing had led to another and that morning he had woken up with her in his arms, he wasn’t sure of when the drug would wear off, but he wasn’t about to ask just as the door opened and he and Damian looked at each other.

Alessia's eyes were only half open, though vacant as she stared straight towards the wall. Her hair clinging to her face, dishevelled and skin clammy and pale as she sweated out the drug. Very obviously not aware of anything that was going on around her yet. Her head heavy against the guards chest.

Damian took about ten seconds to get over the sight of Alessia and the guard in bed together before the hand that was on the door started to burn the door as his anger almost got the better of him before he made to walk away.

The guard smirked slightly as he watched him leave before he looked to Alessia, lressing possessive kisses to her skin that he could reach taking the fact that she hadn’t moved away from his as the sign that she was happy to be with him now and he was making the most of it.

The smell of the flames made Alessia's nose wrinkled, inhaling a little sharper than her other subdued breathes. Taking a few moments to be conscious enough to recognise the act of the kisses, yet alone realise and react to who was behind them. Her eyes widening in horror as she weakly tried to pull away, her scream hoarse and barely loud enough to be heard.

Damian was too angry to deal with either of them right now, so he made quick work of getting out of there, ending up back at his palace, shutting himself away in his rooms. He sent his maids and own guards away, preferring to sit by the fire with a bottle of alcohol instead of his usual glass. He didn't truly know what to do at this point.

The guard, who's name was Bael, put a hand over her mouth to cut off the sound of her screams. "Do you want the world to hear you?" He demanded.

Alessia froze as his hand cut off her air, chest heaving with her panic. This being the only movement her body made, frozen with terror.

"Dove?" Seren called softly, knuckles grazing his door. One of his guards having come to fetch both her and Thorin at the out of character behaviour. "Can I come in?"

Damian looked to the door. "Go away!" He shouted through.

"Damian, it's us, open the door son."

"I'll move my mouth if you proise not to scream."

"Come on, sweet." Seren hushed softly. "We needn't talk if you aren't ready, let us just be in the room with you - keep you company."

Alessia nodded subtly.

"You should be looking after my daughter." He rretorted. "But fine."

At his permission, Thorin opened the door and inside, the room had been pretty much trashed, Damian having needed an outlet for his anger as the drink wasn't helping. He looked over to the armchairs by the fireplace where Damian was now sat on the floor against the marble of the fireplace, drinking from the bottle. He looked like a broken man this time.

He moved his hand. "Right, don't scream."

"We wouldn't leave Rose with anyone we thought was a danger to her," Seren assures gently, frowning as she took in the state of the room and then finally her son. Silently crossing the space to lower herself down beside him, her arms wrapping around his shoulders to pull him into a hug. As promised, not saying a word.

Alessia moved away, quickly. So quickly she stumbled and had to shuffle backwards until her back hit the wall - staring at him wide eyed.

He hugged her back. "I don't want her to see me like this, can you keep her with you tonight?" He asked her.

Thorin knelt before him and he gently rubbed his back. "Of course we will, Damian I'm sorry, is it over for you and Alessia?"

Damian pulled out of the hug and he looked to him. "It is now...I didn't talk to her, I couldn't, looks like she's been screwing her guard behind my back, so all this time she's been berating me for being me, she's been with him." He said it so quietly it was almost scary.

Bael watched her as he moved to sit on the edge of the bed, he was as naked as she was, but he kept the blanket over his waist.

Alessia's eyes darted towards the door, fixating on the hand print burned into its smooth oak. Looking back to Bael a moment later as she assessed her chances of escape.

"Come back here, dove." Seren encouraged quietly, holding her arms out once more. "You've always been too good for the little bitch."

Thorin sighed as he patted his son's shoulder as Damian rested his head on her shoulder. "Your mother is right, you're too good for her, and you're a king, give it a few weeks get yourself back on your feet and there will be eligable women throwing themselves at you."
