"I know so,"

She smiled up at him. "Come on, we had best get back, I still have to get ready for work."

"She always got to because it's what she always did. But she's not gonna any more, and I'm not using you as her replacement. Nobody deserves to be a replacement."

Vanessa nodded and stepped back to give Klaus better access to the wall.

"I don't want to be her replacement, I want to be your friend and your making it so unbelievable difficult to be it by never letting me come anywhere. Come on, please?"

Klaus took a step closer to it and tried to push it down with his hands, soon giving up and simply punching through the wall.

Vanessa jumped back a little, waiting until the rocks had stopped falling before she peered through the hole. "Looks like walkways to me, like there's more to the caves."

"You don't just want to be my friend do you though?"

"No," She replied honestly, "But I'd rather your friend then nothing. I can forget how I feel about you, get rid of wanting to be with you and only keep the wanting to be your friend part, if that's what it takes."

Klaus gave a nod, "There used to be a whole load of them," he told her, making the hole a bit bigger and climbing through it. "Come on, lets go explore it a bit."

She smiled up at him. "Come on, we had best get back, I still have to get ready for work."

"You shouldn't go if your not feeling well,"

"Why is it you can't just let go of me full stop?"

Vanessa nodded and walked through the hole a little apprehensively.

"I will be fine in a bit." She promised him.

"Why is it you can't seem to cope with the fact that I genuinely care even though you've given me a few good reasons not to?"

"Don't worry, Ness," Klaus whispered, "Just have fun and explore."

"Wait until your feeling okay then, no moving until then."

Vanessa nodded and looked around, there were various more entrances to other parts of the caves in the walls, along with more drawings.

"It's because I've given you reasons not to that I don't get why you do still care."

"Ok." She moved to rest her head on his lap.

Abigail shrugged, "Guess because my family only ever used me in the first place, and heck maybe that's the reason I never managed to make any friends - the reason I send out those 'leave me alone' vibes you say I do. Your the only one who ever cared back, and, I guess I refuse to let you use me and if I let you go then that's all it would of been really, you using me until you got bored of me. I still care because when we were together you had these moments when you were so sweet. Still care because I like your company, because I feel accepted when I'm around you even if you don't accept me."

Jeremy ran his fingers through her hair.

"Fancy coming for a hunt?"

"Sure,"

"Do you realise how ridiculous you sound? 'because I feel accepted when I'm around you even if you don't accept me' What kind of crap line is that?"

"You know the place better than me," Vanessa said, "So where do we go?"

She managed to stand up. "Come on then, it would give us a chance to dry off."

Abigail rolled her eyes at him, "You treat me like you want me to walk away without giving a cr*p about you like she just did. Sorry I care, Kol. I hate that I care, hate it, especially when your being horrible."

"But this is an opportunity for you to explore, so you lead the way." Klaus replied.

Jeremy nodded and got to his feet.

"You could be like a tour guide."

"You've just latched onto me because I was the first person that showed you affection, and you need to let that go!"

Charlotte held her hands out for his.

Klaus rolled his eyes at her, "But that takes the fun away from it for you Ness, come on, act your age, be childish and run off and explore."
