"Was the birth normal? Is Genevieve going to be okay?"

"Shouldn't I s-sit up?" Genevieve ran her hand over the baby's back gently and winced when the baby started whimpering because she was hungry.

"You probably should." He propped her up to sit on the bed.

"Yeah she will be ok."

Genevieve settled against the pillows, cradling the baby close and looking a little lost because she kept whimpering. "I-I don't know what s-she wants..."

Jean-Claude noticeably relaxed. "I'm glad. When she started screaming, I...it was a little louder than yours so I immediately assumed the worse."

"Try feeding her."

"I noticed."

"With what?" Genevieve looked around for a bottle.

"I don't think Genevieve has quite the pain threshold that you do."

He told her how newborn babies were normally fed.

"Yeah she probably doesn't."

"Oh...Could you help me move the covers then?" Genevieve slowly moved her arms to lift the baby up so Jared could push the blanket away.

"At any rate I'm glad she's okay. Where was Lloyd, did he hear the screams?"

He done as she asked.

"I actually don't know...I thought he was with you."

Genevieve shifted the baby around gently and started feeding her, watching her tenderly. "We still need to name her."

"I left him in the lounge to play. I thought you went down to check on him."

"He wasn't there when I came down..." Sge started to panic, getting worried for her son.

"Yeah we do."

"He couldn't have gone far. The front and back door were locked and he can't reach the handles, or the keys where they were hung up. He hasn't gone into the loft has he? The staircase isn't blocked...or he could have gotten to the basement?"

"Have you any ideas?"

"You want to check the lost while I check the basement?"

"I always like the name Isabelle."

"I'll check the loft." Jean-Claude nodded, leaning to kiss her cheek. "There's nothing dangerous in either. He probably wandered into the dark and got a little lost and frightened."

"Isabelle," Genevieve murmured, trying it out. "I like the name Isabelle..." She smoothed her hand over the baby's head and back, watching her.

He smiled. "Our little Isabelle."

"Yeah probably."

"Our little Isabelle," Genevieve responded, using the blanket to wipe Isabelle's mouth when she was done, yawning softly. "Did you want to hold her?"

Jean-Claude nodded again before making his way upstairs.

Jared carefully picked his daughter up into his arms.

She made her way downstairs.

Isabelle slowly blinked up at him, fingers curling against the blankets.

Genevieve watched them as she pulled her covers back up to her neck.

"Lloyd?" Jean-Claude called softly. "Are you up here buddy?"

Lloyd was sitting in the corner of the attic, upset because of all of the screaming.

Jared looked down ay his daughter lovingly.

Jean-Claude kneeled in front of him. "Hey there Lloyd. What's the matter, huh?"

Isabelle stared at him for a short moment before softly yawning and closing her eyes.

"I don't like the screaming."

He kissed her forehead.

"Don't worry darling, it's all over now. Auntie Genevieve was just in a little pain." He reached out towards him.

Genevieve shuffled down into her bed, closing her eyes absently.

Jared watched her.

"I think I need a rest if that's quite all right with you," Genevieve murmured.

Jean-Claude scooped him up and made his way to the stairs.
