"He knew, he didn't at first but I told him you did so many times he started to believe it." Astrid assured gently.

Adam laughed a bit in response to that before nodding.

Violet headed back inside to sit beside Kara. "Would you like me around Kara? Would you want me to be around even though I'm not with your uncle Noah?"

"I'll get a job, ask my dad if he can have the triplets and Thomas when they finish school for a few hours and then we might have enough money..."

Zosia grinned and scrambled out of bed to the phone.

"He's been told, about Zoe and your parents. A nurse had to tell him."

"Yeah, I was just thinking." Eri whispered, "I know I said I wanted a cave filled with candles, and I still do. But I think we should have larger candles up at the front with names on them. My fathers and mothers and my grandmothers... My sons, your children's names, your fathers name? So it feels like they're there in some way."

"He wanted his mum, was crying for her and obviously she couldn't come so they had to tell her."

"They should of gotten me." Scott muttered. "Stupid nurses, stupid, stupid. Don't they have brains."

"I should of been here to comfort him when they told him, they knew I was just with Dex they should of came and got me." He sighed.

Adam nodded in response to that, "Yeah, just tired. She couldn't sleep last night so went for a walk, she's sad about your granddad too."

"But he is my mums brother," Karl whispered, "So... It's tricky, isn't it?"

"He was her best friend," Adam explained quietly, "She loved him."

"I will." Scott replied with a nod, "It's not on, he's a young child that's lost his mother. Fair enough them telling him but they knew I was in the building and they could of fetched me so he had a family member here to support him instead of having to rely on their support."

"I'd rather not." He admitted, "I was just wondering if you wanted him there, if you thought it'd be good to have him there for my mum after the state she got into at Adrian's wedding."

Kara smiled brightly at that.

"Maybe even your uncle will let you stay at mine a couple times too."

Kira nodded, running her fingers through his hair before sharply pulling them away.

"She'll have her father and Adrian and Adam. We don't need Ivar."

"But... But they always seemed angry at eachother."

"When you're really close to someone, you end up arguing and being mad at each other quite alot." Adam explained quietly, "You should see the amount of times me and your Uncle Adrian are arguing and being nasty to each other, your grandma and grandpa were often really mad at each other too. It's because when people care that much, they go a bit over the top. Like when you're not behaving and me and your mum get mad at you, it doesn't mean we don't care and it alwaus gets sorted out in the end."

Karl just nodded in response to that, almost letting out a sigh of relief.

Kara smiled widely at that and nodded.

"You okay?" Scott asked with a frown.

"No." Kira admitted shakily. "There's a few grey hairs and - and you're getting wrinkles around your eyes and you're ageing and people are dying and - " she shook her head and put a hand to her mouth to stifle a sob. "My mums gone and it's just clicked that one day you're going to be gone too and I'm not gonna have my mum there when it happens to hold me and tell me you're in a better place."

"Ivar wouldn't come anyway.... He'd see an invite as an insult,"

"If mummy and grandpa were really close then why didn't grandpa ever visit?"

"I still have Köttr you know, I bet he misses your cuddles."

Scott just let out a small sigh, grabbing her wrist gently and pulling her onto his lap. Whispering softly in her ear, "When Dex is out of here, and Tommy is too... You, uh, can turn me... if you want. I need to stick around to help Tommy, and I can't ever leave you all alone with the triplets. I've been thinking about it recently, actually."

"Would he?"

Adam frowned deeply at that, "Because, you reminded him a lot of a baby he thought he was going to have one day and it made him sad - the fact he never got to meet that baby."

"Really?!" She asked excitedly.

"Mm. He's still with me." Violet grinned at Kara.

Kira let out a sob of relief and buried her face against his shoulder. "I couldn't cope if you ever left me I couldn't I couldn't do it."

((I think with everyone dying around her and she's just realised Scott's getting older and he could die too and it got to her haha))

"A baby with mummy? Why didn't he get to meet it?" Zosia frowned.

"Probably see it as you trying to rub it in that I'm yours now."

"It died, sweetie.... it was a long, long, long time ago. Before I was born, before your grandpa and grandma got together or even met properly. But yeah, the baby died and he pictured that if it was a little girl it'd look a little bit like you so it made him sad, to see how beautiful you were, reminded him of what he had lost. He loved you though."

"How? Isn't he like really, really, really old now? For a cat?"

"That'd be an awfully childish view point to have." Karl replied with a shake of his head.

Scott just held her close, kissing the side of her head gently and whispering, "I know, I know..."

Kira began to sob into his shoulder then.

"But... I thought only married people and couples and people who love each other have babies with each other?" Zosias brows furrowed in confusion. "So why were mummy and grandpa having a baby?"

"He seemed it when I first saw him and he refused to speak to you in front of me."

Scott just held her close, kissing her cheek and whispering, "Sshh, sshh, not here... What if Tommy wakes up, hm? It wont be nice for him to see you cry."
