Ronan gulped, patting his pockets when Rhys drove off in search of his phone and muttering a quiet; "Fuck." when he realised he had left his phone in the house. Running a hand over his head before heading back towards his home, having to attempting to open the door a few times with his hands still trembling - skin still pale. "Bella, we need to call Esme."

"Then be concerned, but do not try and force me to sit by myself in a clinical room. I have said I will rest if the doctors bring a bed in next to your father's."

Ronan opened his mouth to continue his rant, taking deep breathes instead when he was hugged. Heart racing as he slowly brought his arms up to hug her back, mumbling; "He had every intention of killing us in that car, Bella. In that moment, at least."
