“He’s not a murderer, that I do know.”

"You're all lucky that he isn't."

“Peter let go of him.” The woman suddenly shouted and Peter dropped his father.

Denise scuffed. "Hey, Pete.." she whispered softly.

The woman walked over and she slid Peters band around his arm before she grabbed his shoulder and forced him to sit on the edge of the bed as he returned to normal.

She said nothing, still focused on only Peter.

When Peters eyes went back to normal did she let him go and she looked to Denise. “I’ll be back to check on you both soon.” When she was gone Peter looked to Denise.

All she did was nod as she hadn't looked away from Peter. "Peter.."

“What did I do?” Peter asked her

"You don't remember any of it?" She asked softly, moving closer to slid her arms around him.

“Vaguely.” He told her.

"What all do you remember?" She asked, so she knew how much to tell him.

He remembered at least half of whAt happened before he seemed to realise that the biome was gone

She listened to him and sat down beside him, taking his hand into hers. Slowly and carefully, not wanting to overwhelm him, she began to explain all that happened.

He listened intently

Her thumb rubbed small circles on his hand as she told him everything that was important.

Afterwards he lay back on the bed almost relieve that he hadn’t hurt her

She looked at him. "I knew you wouldn't. You're my Peter."

He nodded. “The bond…”

"It hasn't come back yet.. I don't know what's happened.." she whispered.

He sighed softly, moving to stand. “We can get it back.”

"Easy, Pete.. take your time." she got to her feet to make sure he was steady on his.

“I will.” He told her. “We should get home.”

She nodded, slipping her hand into his.

He slid his hand into hers.
